The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 5 FOUR PAWZA POWER Injury in running, off side hind leg, humanely euthanased

GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 410m

PA TING was best to begin. RAVIN’ MAGIC was slowly away. Through the catching pen HEATHAN BRETT shifted in checking the running of SLAYTON’S POWER. WILDASH FRED which was following was also checked. Through the back straight CRACKLIN’ ROSIE shifted in checking the running of LUSIMA. On straightening FULMINATION shifted out slightly inconveniencing the running of SLATON’S POWER.

Race 2 – 5^th Grade 410m

ELLY NORA and PRINCE OF DOOM both began well. WILDASH FRED, WILDASH MONTE and BANDALORE were all slowly into stride. WILDASH MONTE was checked when tightened for running through the catching pen. Through the back straight BANDALORE shifted in across the running of WILDASH MONTE which was severely checked and lost significant ground. BANDALORE was wide for the majority of the event.

Race 3 – 5^th Grade 410m

TEAM TOKALON and CALL ME CHARLES both began well. BEHM was slowly away. WILDASH DUKE and SPRING CLOVER both lost ground when tightened for running through the catching pen. PUNGUSHE and BEHM came together through the top turn. BEHM was wide at the home turn.

Race 4 – 4^th Grade 410m

WESTOVER began well. COSMIC LAMP was slowly into stride. Through the catching pen COSMIC LAMP shifted in checking the running of COSMIC PAULY. Leaving the catching pen CAPTAIN LONESTAR and COSMIC PAULY came together. COSMIC PAULY lost ground and raced wide for the remainder of the event.

Race 5 – RQ Young Guns Final 410m

SPUDNUT was best to begin. ASA EXTREME and AMY’S ELITE both lost ground when tightened for running through the catching pen. Leaving the catching pen WILDASH DIDDY shifted out taking AMY’S ELITE wider on the track. Both greyhounds lost ground. BLUEFIRE CHALICE was wide through the back straight.

Race 6 – Best 8 410m

MALIAN REIGN was best to begin. SELFIE lost ground when tightened for running soon after jumping. Leaving the catching pen FEARS THE WORD which was shifting in severely checked the running of FOUR PAWZA POWER, TICKFORD, GOT IT WRONG and MALIAN REIGN. All 4 greyhounds lost significant ground and FOUR PAWZA POWER fell taking no further competitive part in the event. SELFIE which was following was also checked. Through the home turn GOT IT WRONG and TICKFORD came together. Both greyhounds became unbalanced and shifted wider on the track.

The greyhound FOUR PAWZA POWER which was vetted post race and was found to have sustained an injury to its off side hind leg was humanely euthanased.
