The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 2 PUNGUSHE Injured in running, near side foreleg, 10 days

GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 410m

FARMOR KNOCKA’S and IN THE DOCK both began well. JESSICA’S MONEY, HEATHAN BRETT, SUPERSEDED, PA TING and LUSIMA all lost significant ground due to general tightening in the run through the catching pen. Approaching the top turn PA TING shifted in checking the running of SUPERSEDED. At the home turn FAWN DRAGON shifted in severely checking the running of IN THE DOCK. LUSIMA was wide at the home turn and down the running.

Race 2 – Novice 410m

EBONY SPECIAL was best to begin. SLAYTON’S POWER was slowly into stride. EBONY SPECIAL and PUNGUSHE came together through the catching pen. PUNGUSHE became unbalanced and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Through the top turn SLAYTON’S POWER shifted in onto the running of BEHM which lost ground. BEHM and RHONDA’S DYNO were both wide at the home turn.

The greyhound PUNGUSHE was vetted post race and was found to have sustained a near side foreleg injury in running.

Race 3 – 5^th Grade 410m

CRUSHED ICE and BANDALORE both began well. STARZAR GOLD dwelt at the start. Through the catching pen BANDALORE shifted in severely checking the running of CRUSHED ICE which lost significant ground and shifted out abruptly taking STARZAR GOLD wider on the track.

Race 4 – 4/5^th Grade 410m

Stewards declared this event “No Race” after the lure malfunctioned as the field raced into the top turn.

The greyhound EARLY SHOW was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.

The greyhound AMY’S ELITE was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.

Race 5 – 4^th Grade 410m

Shortly after jumping BOOTYDO lost ground when tightened between runners. Leaving the catching pen THANK YOU POP was severely tightened for running between OUR MADAM and MALIAN REIGN which was shifting in. Through the back straight CASH KING improved onto the heels of WESTOVER. Both greyhounds were checked. COBBIN was wide for the majority of the event.

Race 6 – Best 8 410m

CARLYLE TYCOON, COOL SPRITE and FEARS THE WORD all began well. TICKFORD was slowly away. Leaving the catching pen CARLYLE TYCOON shifted in onto the running of SELFIE which lost ground. Through the back straight CARLYLE TYCOON shifted out abruptly checking the running of COOL SPRITE, BLUEFIRE CHALICE and TICKFORD. Approaching the top turn SELFIE improved onto the heels of COOL SPRITE dragging that greyhound down from behind. As A result COOL SPRITE lost significant momentum and took no further competitive part in the event.

The greyhound TICKFORD was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.
