The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.
Race 2 NOSMO KING
Race 2 NOSMO KING Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 366m all tracks prior to nominating
MIS MAGNOLIA was slow to begin. Shortly after the start ROYAL SALUTE and MISS MAGNOLIA came together while GLEBE KID and HAZY GAZE raced tight. Approaching the 100m mark GLEBE KID shifted out hampering HAZY GAZE. Shortly after, MISS MAGNOLIA shifted in off the heels of KYANITE.
CAPTAIN MORGAN and FLASHMAN SAM were best to begin with NOSMO KING slow. Shortly after the start GALI BAARRI DUK and BLACK SYRUP came together.
The greyhound NOSMO KING was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. B Green that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 366m all tracks prior to nominating. Trainer Ms. Green subsequently informed stewards that the greyhound appeared nervous prior to its 1st race start in this event. Ms. Green was reminded of her obligations to inform stewards should the greyhound appear ill prior to the race.
Race 3 – 4/5th
Grade 366m
Even start. STUART’S CHOICE shifted out checking KNOCKA’S ASSET and MISS HALLIUS and proceeded to race tight with ROYAL MAD for a short distance. Passing the 200m MISS HALLIUS shifted in becoming unbalanced and checking STUART’S CHOICE and KNOCKA’S ASSET. STUART’S CHOICE and ROYAL MAD raced tight over the concluding stages.
Race 4 – 5th
Grade 366m
Even start. Shortly after the start RYLEE’S RING IN, TREBLIG BRAD, BLACK COBIA and BLACK MENACE all raced tight and bumped. Approaching the 100m WILD ELITE, BLACK MENACE and BLACK COBIA collided. Passing the 200m PRINCE FREDERICK and RYLEE’S RING IN came together.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade 366m
MASTER LAGOON was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SCORPION QUEEN and WORK OF ART came together.
Race 6 – Capalaba Grand
Prix Heat 1 366m
BURJ KHALIFA was slow to begin. Shortly after the start GLASS, CLASSIC TYCOON and DENZANO OSTI raced tight and bumped.
Race 7 – Capalaba Grand Prix Heat 2 366m
BEWARE THE BOSS was slow to begin. Shortly after the start CYCLONE CLIFFORD and THAT ONE raced tight. Shortly after, FAMECHON shifted out checking THAT ONE and CYCLONE CLIFFORD. Nearing the 100m mark RYLEE’S ROULETTE shifted out hampering THAT ONE and CYCLONE CLIFFORD. Passing the 300m DAYSEAS RIGG shifted out across the heels of FAMECHON.
Race 8 – Capalaba Grand Prix Heat 3 366m
BON YEO was slow to begin. Passing the 100m FROSTY JAY JAY, LIKE A SUNRISE and BLACK PARADOX raced tight and bumped. Passing the 250m FROSTY JAY JAY shifted out checking LIKE A SUNRISE. Passing the 300m FROSTY JAY JAY and BLACK PARADOX raced tight and unbalanced.
