GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 366m

NOSMO KING was slow to begin.  Passing the 200m PAW PERFORMER shifted across the track into the racing line of GRIMM’S BOY resulting in GRIMM’S BOY checking off the heels of that greyhound and losing balance.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Final 366m

Even start.  Shortly after UNIQUE KALEESI and CHLOE’S IMAGE bumped resulting in CHLOE’S IMAGE becoming awkward and losing ground.  Approaching the 300m RADI shifted in making heavy contact with GLEBE KID resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.

 

Race 3 – Novice 366m

Even start.  Shortly after there was tightening between LA CAMPANA, VALENTINO JACK and FIRE ALONG resulting in VALENTINO JACK being severely checked and losing ground.  MIA MYA MO which was racing to the outside was also inconvenienced and losing ground in this incident.  At the 150m mark VALENTINO JACK and FIRE ALONG made heavy contact becoming unbalanced.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade Heat 1 366m

SINUK and CELESTIAL SELENA were best to begin.  Approaching the 300m MAGIC KITCHEN shifted out bumping EASY OFF.  Both greyhounds became unbalanced in this incident.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 2 366m

Even start.  Shortly after the start PASSIVE PROTEST and SPRING DREAM bumped.  From the 200m to the 100m SURFING FRED and BABY BASSIN raced tight bumping on several occasions.  Leaving the 100m SISTA TASHA shifted out abruptly making heavy contact with SURFING FRED resulting in SURFING FRED and BABY BASSIN to be severely checked.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 3 366m

The start was delayed due to a power technicality.

 

RIDES ON SCOOTER was slow to begin.  Shortly after RIDES ON SCOOTER shifted across the track to obtain closer running to the inside fence.  Approaching the 200m BULL TITAN and ARTISAN WARRIOR bumped resulting in BULL TITAN becoming momentarily unbalanced.  Approaching the 100m DRAGON DANCER checked across the heels VAGUE MEMORIES.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 4 366m

THAIDAY NIGHT was slow to begin.  At the 100m CHEEKY CHANCE shifted in bumping SHE’S A FOX, resulting in both greyhounds becoming momentarily unbalanced.

 

 

Stewards afforded trainer Mr. B Hazelgrove the opportunity to comment on the below market performance of THAIDAY NIGHT.  Mr. Hazelgrove stated it was the greyhound’s 1st start on the track and didn’t handle the running on a straight track.  He further added that the drop down in distance may have also hindered its performance.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 366m

FLYING RAVEN and GUNNA WINK were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start INTILACH was tightened for room and lost ground.  Over the final stages WILD ELITE, UPPER CLASS LAD and FLYING RAVEN all raced tight.
