The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Even start. Shortly after the start MAYWYN’S YING shifted in hampering PENNY UNDERCOVER. Through the 1st turn MY DIEGO improved onto the heels of HIGHLIFE and was hampered. PENNY UNDERCOVER and GEE DAFFY raced wide through the back straight. GEE DAFFY raced wide through the top turn. In the home straight MASACCIO shifted in turning its head and making muzzle contact with MAYWYN’S YING marring the running of this greyhound.
The greyhound GEE DAFFY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned by stewards in regards to the greyhound’s poor performance, trainer Mr. S. Rolph noted that the greyhound has been struggling through the turns at both Albion Park and Ipswich tracks. Stewards placed a warning on this greyhound for a poor performance.

greyhound MASACCIO was reported deceased due to suspected heart failure post
race.
Even start. Shortly after the start SMOKE UNDERCOVER and WITH A GEE raced tight and bumped while TRU RYDER and MAYWYN’S KEEPER collided. Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion WINDSOR and TRU RYDER came together and became unbalanced. SMOKE UNDERCOVER was also inconvenienced. Entering the 1st turn MAYWYN’S KEEPER and WITH A GEE collided. WINDSOR which was following was inconvenienced and forced wide through the turn. Passing the catching pen TRU RYDER and WITH A GEE came together and became unbalanced with MAYWYN’S KEEPER also inconvenienced. Passing the 600m boxes WITH A GEE shifted in tightening MAYWYN’S KEEPER.
Race 3 – Auction Series
Heat 3 520m
COOCHIEMUDLO BOY and CHEVALEIR NUIT were best to begin. SUPER STRING and VALENTINO JACK were slowly away. Approaching the 1st turn CHEVALEIR NUIT shifted in hampering COOCHIEMUDLO BOY. Shortly after, SUPER STRING and VALENTINO JACK came together.
The greyhound COOCHIEMUDLO BOY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. J Shepherd that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 4 – Auction Series
Heat 4 520m
The greyhound HEAVENLY was vetted pre race and no apparent injuries were found.
PACIFIC CHAMP and GOT A BROTHER were slow to begin. Shortly after the start ANTWERPEN was tightened between MAJESTIC JESTER and SIVAMET which was shifting in. Approaching the 1st turn HEAVENLY shifted in tightening PACIFIC CHAMP. Shortly after, SIVAMET and CASEY UNDERCOVER came together and as a result SIVAMET shifted out onto the running of PACIFIC CHAMP and HEAVENLY with these 2 greyhounds forced wide through the turn. SIVAMET then shifted in colliding with CASEY UNDERCOVER. Entering the back straight CASEY UNDERCOVER shifted in tightening GOT A BROTHER. PACIFIC CHAMP was wide through the back straight. Entering the top turn CASEY UNDERCOVER shifted in tightening SIVAMET which lost ground and GOT A BROTHER which was following was severely inconvenienced.
The greyhound GOT A BROTHER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 5 – Auction Series
Heat 5 520m
RAZEN TOAST was best to begin with IFFI WINS, IN THE PICTURE and SPRITE AND POWER were slowly away. Shortly after the start MAYWYN’S COPY, SPRITE AND POWER and IN THE PICTURE raced tight and unbalanced. Approaching the 1st turn MAYWYN’S COPY and SPRITE AND POWER came together and became unbalanced. At the same time IN THE PICTURE shifted out colliding with IFFI WINS. RAZEN TOAST was wide through the back straight.

Heat 6 520m
DEREK ZOOLANDER and IMA COUNTRY BOY were best to begin with HE’S A KNOCKA slow. Through the 1st turn QUICK TURTLE shifted out off the heels of IMA COUNTRY BOY and raced wide. IMA COUNTRY BOY was wide through the back straight.
The greyhound HE’S A KNOCKA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. N Peters that the greyhound’s future performances would be closely monitored given its poor performance in this event. Stewards noted that it was the greyhound’s 1st race start.

7 – Auction Series Heat 7 520m
BLUE SCORPION was slow to begin. Shortly after the start WAIKARIE MAGIC shifted in tightening HE’S A PICTURE and ADAM’S ANGEL. Approaching the 1st turn MAYWYN MOOLA shifted out hampering ADAM’S ANGEL and BLUE SCORPION. Approaching the top turn ADAM’S ANGEL appeared to ease when in clear running and lost ground. Entering the home straight MAYWYN MOOLA shifted out colliding with CANDY UNDERCOVER and lost ground.
The greyhound MAYWYN MOOLA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Mr. R Essex was questioned over the greyhound’s weakening over the concluding stages of the event. Mr. Essex stated the wet track may have had an impact on the greyhound’s performance given that it was the greyhound’s first start over the 520m distance. Stewards advised Mr. Essex that the greyhound’s future performances would be closely monitored.
Stewards advised trainer Ms. D Buxton that the greyhound ADAM’S ANGEL would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

8 – 5th Grade 520m
COLD HARD TRUTH was slow to begin. Immediately after the start WHITE MARLIN and SECRET STASH came together. Shortly after, HARA’S DERECK shifted in checking MACIE’S DINGO. Approaching the 1st turn WHITE MARLIN, SECRET STASH, EARNING and SPRING BLITZ all raced tight and became unbalanced. SECRET STASH lost significant ground as a result and SPRING BLITZ and COLD HARD TRUTH were forced wide through the turn. Approaching the top turn MACIE’S DINGO improved onto the heels of SPRING BLITZ and lost ground.

9 – 4/5th Grade 431m
HER’S NOT HIS was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SHE SAID NO and HIGH RADAR came together as did HER’S NOT HIS and DASHIFY. Entering the back straight ARK UP shifted out checking BOLIVIA which lost ground. ARK UP raced wide through the back straight. Through the top turn MAYWYN WEALTH was hampered as HIGH RADAR improved to its inside.
The greyhound SECRET STASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

This event was declared a ‘No Race’ due to a malfunction with the starting boxes.
