Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 431m

DASHING CHARGER was best to begin with RING TAIL RINGO slowly away.  Entering the back straight DASHING CHARGER checked off the heels of THAT’S INSANE.  In the back straight CROSSER was wide.  On the top turn HECTORMALEE and CROSSER collided forcing HECTORMALEE wide.  Entering the turn into the home straight PREMIER GAS and SEXY SUMO collided.  In the home straight CROSSER was wide.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 431m

PROTO PENNY was best to begin with HOT LIKE SUNSET very slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight PAVER QUEEN checked off the heels of COVERT AFFAIR causing PAVER QUEEN to falter at that point.  In the back straight PROTO PENNY was wide.  On the top turn COVERT AFFAIR was wide.  In the home straight KIRI BELLE turned its head inwards failing to make contact on PROTO PENNY.

 

The greyhound HOT LIKE SUNSET was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound PAVER QUEEN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

The greyhound KIRI BELLE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Carleton that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

 

 

Race 3 – Maiden Final 431m

DESIGN BOY was best to begin with FEAR THE SURF and HOPEFUL JACK slowly away. Soon after the start FEAR THE SURF and HOPEFUL JACK collided.  Entering the back straight NAT MAN and HOPEFUL JACK collided.  In the back straight CLASSY MOVER was wide.  On the top turn CLASSY MOVER was wide.  Entering the home straight YOWIE HUNTER and CLASSY MOVER were wide.  In the home straight FEAR THE SURF turned its head outwards on DESIGN BOY failed to make contact.

 

The greyhound FEAR THE SURF was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound CLASSY MOVER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind fibula and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Trainer M.C. CURTIS was advised that the greyhound FEAR THE SURF would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

ROXY ROCKET and SPLIT IT were best to begin with BURMA SPECIAL slowly away. Entering the back straight SWEET AS BETH and THERE SHE WAS collided.  In the back straight WITHOUT DETOUR checked off the heels of SPLIT I.  On the top turn SWEET AS BETH and THERE SHE WAS collided.  In the home straight BURMA SPECIAL was wide.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m

EGYPTIAN LASS was best to begin with MPINGO and BERRY IN LOVE slowly away. On the turn out of the home straight DAISY DAZZLE was wide and tailed off taking no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight MPINGO was wide.  Entering the top turn GEARS OF WAR checked off the heels of TRIGGER.  In the home straight EGYPTIAN LASS was wide.

 

The greyhound DAISY DAZZLER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m

HABANA FLEX was best to begin with CORNELIA JESS slowly away.  Soon after the start WHIRLY WAY and KATE LANEFIELD collided.  On the turn out of the home straight VELOCITY ALICE and GOOD BYE JOAN were wide. Entering the back straight KATE LANEFIELD checked off the heels of CORNELIA JESS.  Entering the home straight CORNELIA JESS was wide.  In the home straight VELOCITY ALICE turned its head inwards failing to make contact with FAR FROM FEAR.

 

Trainer Mr. P Wilson was advised that the greyhound VELOCITY ALICE would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade Final 520m

SECRET STASH was best to begin with SPRING CHOICE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight NOT LIKE TOMMY, ELLIE MAC LEE and SPRING CHOICE collided.  In the back straight HARD TO MATCH was wide.  On the top turn HARD TO MATCH was wide.  In the home straight STAR SPEED and HARD TO MATCH were wide.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m

Even start.  Entering the back straight GREENOCK GIRL, SNOWBALL BOB and HIGH RADAR collided.  In the back straight PRINCE POLO and MR SNEAKY SNEAKY collided with HAYJESTA and SNOWBALL BOB wide.  On the top turn HAYJESTA was wide.  In the home straight HAYJESTA was wide.

 

The greyhound OSKAR DA POOCH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

ULTIMATE STAR was best to begin with WORK OF ART slowly away.  Entering the back straight SPRING ELIZA and BEAT THE BULLET collided.  In the back straight WORK OF ART was wide.  Entering the top turn BEAT THE BULLET checked off the heels of WORK OF ART causing WORK OF ART to check SPRING ELIZA.  In the home straight ULTIMATE STAR was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

SANTORINI BLUE was best to begin with GOT NO CENTS and OUT WEST slowly away.  In the back straight TRAV’S FANTASY was wide.  Entering the top turn HOPPING HOUDINI and LUNAR QUEEN collided causing LUNAR QUEEN to fall.  On the top turn SANTORINI BLUE and TRAV’S FANTASY collided.  In the home straight JEBRYNAH ALLEY was wide.

 

The greyhound LUNAR QUEEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
