The greyhound KIRI BELLE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431 in a time of 25.77 and is cleared to race all tracks except Ipswich until after 20 April 2015.
The greyhound BOLD AS BRACH performed a satisfactory ‘Return to Racing’ Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.52.
MACMARCUS was best to begin with NAT MAN slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight GALWAY THUNDER checked off the heels of NAT MAN forcing GALWAY THUNDER wide. On the turn into the home straight SAHARA GIRL checked off the heels of STRAYA. In the back straight MILDUE was wide. Entering the home straight GALWAY THUNDER was wide. In the home straight STRAYA and SAHARA GIRL were racing tight and bumping.
The greyhound GALWAY THUNDER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
BEAR FOR BREAKY and MACNIVEK were best to begin with SUNNYSIDE JAY slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight GALWAY SUPERSTAR checked off the heels of SUNNYSIDE JAY. In the back straight CRANKSHAFT was wide. On the top turn SUNNYSIDE JAY and MACNIVEK collided. Entering the home straight GALWAY SUPERSTAR checked off the heels of CLASSIC TOM causing GALWAY SUPERSTAR to falter and take no further competitive part in the event.
The greyhound GALWAY SUPERSTAR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – Novice
520m
SILKY OAK was best to begin with MR. REALITY slowly away. Soon after the start NOW FEAR THIS and GALWAY RAIN collided. Entering the turn out of the home straight NOW FEAR THIS and GALWAY RAIN collided causing GALWAY RAIN to falter and take no further competitive part in the event. In the back straight WHITE MARLIN was wide. In the home straight BLACK MODEL and WHITE MARLIN were wide.
The
greyhound GALWAY RAIN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 2
weeks.

4/5th Grade 431m
BLACK PARADOX and YOUR DEAL were best to begin with HER’S NOT HIS slowly away. Soon after the start HER’S NOT HIS and CALIFORNIAN DUDE collided. Entering the back straight AGAMORE and BLACK PARADOX collided causing BLACK PARADOX to drop back checking HER’S NOT HIS. In the back straight CALIFORNIAN DUDE was wide. In the home straight JEBRYNAH ALLEY was wide.
The greyhound BLACK PARADOX was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Semi Final 1
KING’S GEM was best to begin with WHATA NICE SIZE slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight WHATA NICE SIZE checked off the heels of TILLY NO TAIL, causing WHATA NICE SIZE to fall checking HEEZA PICTURE and WINDSOR. On the turn out of the home straight WINDSOR was wide. In the back straight RAZEN TOAST was wide. In the home straight WINDSOR was wide.
The greyhound WHATA NICE SIZE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

DEREK ZOOLANDER was best to begin with the remainder evenly away. On the turn out of the home straight PENNY UNDERCOVER and MY DIEGO were wide. In the back straight WITH A GEE was wide. On the top turn WITH A GEE and MAJESTIC JESTER collided. In the home straight PENNY UNDERCOVER was wide.

IMA COUNTRY BOY was best to begin with MY MATE LING and SUPER STRING slowly away. Soon after the start WAIKARIE MAGIC and CHEVALEIR NUIT collided. Entering the turn out of the home straight WAIKARIE MAGIC and HIGHLIFE collided causing HIGHLIFE to check BOGART BLEND, forcing that greyhound wide. In the back straight SUPER STRING was wide. Entering the top turn HIGHLIFE, BOGART BLEND and MY MATE LING collided causing MY MATE LING to drop back taking no further competitive part in the event. In the home straight MAYWYN’S YING was wide.
The
greyhound MY MATE LING was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

8 – Auction Series Semi Final 4
HEAVENLY was best to begin with IFFI WINS slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight BLUE SCORPION checked off the heels of ANTWERPEN causing BLUE SCORPION to fall, which in turn IFFI WINS falling over BLUE SCORPION. BLUE SCORPION and IFFI WINS took no further competitive part in the event. Entering the back straight WAIKARIE WARRIOR checked off the heels of HEAVENLY. In the back straight MAYWYN’S COPY was wide. Entering the home straight ANTWERPEN and WAIKARIE WARRIOR collided.
The greyhound BLUE SCORPION was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound IFFI WINS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
fore leg and was humanely euthanised.

CERVELO was best to begin with MINI OREO and BEAT THE BULLET slow to begin. On the turn out of the home straight MINI OREO check off the heels of NOT LIKE TOMMY. In the back straight MINI OREO was wide. In the home straight MINI OREO and WAYNE WEBCKE were wide.

Even start with HOUINDEED and DON’T JOSH ME slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight BIRTHDAY BASH and BUCK CITY collided forcing BUCK CITY wide. On the turn out of the home straight DON’T JOSH ME checked off the heels of BUCK CITY. In the back straight BUCK CITY was wide. In the home straight DON’T JOSH ME was wide.
The
greyhound BUCK CITY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
