Stewards today interviewed a trainer regarding what precautions that he/she had in place to guard against the spread of a contagious disease recently affecting their property. After hearing submissions Stewards were satisfied that the measures taken were sufficient to minimise the risk to other participants and allowed the greyhounds to race.
The greyhound SMOOTH STYLE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.32 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.
The greyhound NURSEY WARD performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.65 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Brisbane.
Even start. Shortly after the start QUEEN LOCH BRAE and GALI BAARRI DUK bumped as the start was effected. Shortly after the start SMOOTH SHILOW crossed from a wide position causing some inconvenience to PARIS HARRIS. Entering the turn into the back straight QUEEN LOCH BRAE, NO GUN, PROTO PENNY all made contact. PARIS HARRIS and GALI BAARRI DUK bumped. Entering the back straight GALI BAARRI DUK checked off the heels of MAYWYNS PING. Approaching the turn out of the back straight PROTO PENNY checked off the heels of QUEEN LOCH BRAE. Entering the front straight QUEEN LOCH BRAE shifted out causing some inconvenience to MAYWYNS PING. PROTO PENNY raced wide in the home straight.
ALMOST DODGY was slow to begin. Shortly after the start BLACK DASH and THAT’S INSANE bumped. DAVID’S MEMORY shifted in from a wide position on turning into the back straight tightening LONESOME DUK onto YOWIE HUNTER, causing YOWIE HUNTER to lose considerable ground. Further interference to DASHING DESIGN and ALMOST DODGY from this incident. DASHING DESIGN checked off the heels of YOWIE HUNTER in the back straight. OUR ELITE and THAT’S INSANE bumped prior to entering the home straight. DASHING DESIGN and YOWIE HUNTER raced wide in the home straight.
The greyhound DASHING DESIGN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3 – Maiden Final
431m
CLASSY BAMQUIN was marginally slow to begin. HELL’S ENEMY and HOT LIKE SUNSET bumped as the start was effected. HOT LIKE SUNSET, HELL’S ENEMY and CLASSY BAMQUIN bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight, resulting in CLASSY BAMQUIN checking across the heels of HOBO JANE and bumping GOTTA GET UP and PURELY PENNY, resulting in CLASSY BAMQUIN losing considerable ground. HELL’S ENEMY checked off the heels of GOTTA GET UP entering the back straight. PEPPER PRINCESS raced very wide on the turn into the front straight. CLASSY BAMQUIN raced wide throughout the front straight. HELL’S ENEMY and GOTTA GET UP bumped entering the front straight and continued to bump throughout the front straight.
The greyhound HELL’S ENEMY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – Novice
431m
ACHTUNG and SPRING CLOVER were both slow to begin. LITTLE TRISH and KNOCKA’S ASSET bumped shortly after the start. KNOCKA’S ASSET checked off the heels of DELTA GOOD WIN entering the back straight causing LITTLE TRISH to be inconvenienced. FAMECHON checked off the heels of DELTA GOOD WIN turning out of the back straight. FAMECHON and WITHOUT DETOUR bumped heavily on turning into the home straight.
Race 5 –
4/5th Grade 431m
SHANAE’S MAGIC was slow to begin. ALEEAH JET was tightened between HAYJESTA and FLASH HOUDINI turning into the back straight, resulting in ALEEAH JET and FLASH HOUDINI losing considerable ground. HAYJESTA raced wide into and down the home straight. SHANAE’S MAGIC checked off the heels of FLASH HOUDINI entering the home straight.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade Heat 1 520m
JUNIOR CHAVEZ and MANN SHE’S FAST bumped turning out of the front straight. TRIGGER was slow to begin. FYRE GAL was marginally slow to begin. JUNIOR CHAVEZ was checked off the heels of MANN SHE’S FAST turning out of the front straight. MANN SHE’S FAST checked across the heels of KNIGHTS TEMPLAR shifting out bumping TIME IS MONEY. MANN SHE’S FAST checked off the heels of CORNELIA JESS turning out of the back straight. TOUCH OF CAJUN checked off the heels of KNIGHTS TEMPLAR on the turn into the home straight. TOUCH OF CAJUN and FYRE GAL bumped on turning into the home straight. CORNELIA JESS and TIME IS MONEY bumped entering the home straight.
The greyhound JUNIOR CHAVEZ was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

7 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m
HOLYWOOD ROSE HI was slow to begin. BEAT THE BULLET and TUFF MISSY bumped towards the end of the front straight on the 1st occasion. SPRING CANDY and BEAT THE BULLET bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion. OSKAR DA POOCH and HOLYWOOD ROSE HI bumped on the turn in the front straight.

8 – 4/5th Grade Final 520m
SPRING FIRECHIEF and SPRING BLITZ were marginally slow to begin. STAR SPEED knuckled shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. SPRING BLITZ and FANCY OSTI bumped just prior to the finishing line.

9 – 5th Grade 431m
BLUE OPINION was slow to begin. MR. TRANSPORTER and SWEET AS BETH were both marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start KING’S GEM shifted in bumping SWEET AS BETH taking that greyhound onto MR. TRANSPORTER, resulting in SWEET AS BETH losing ground. Turning into the back straight HOPPING HOUDINI checked off the heels of AZA BUZZ causing interference to GOT NO CENTS. Entering the back straight KING’S GEM and GOT NO CENTS bumped heavily causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced. MR. TRANSPORTER checked off the heels of QUE SERA on turning into the home straight. KING’S GEM checked across the heels of SWEET AS BETH entering the home straight.

10 – 5th Grade 431m
Even start. Shortly after the start SEEYA HONEY was tightened for racing room between MISS JACKPOT and KING’S SON, resulting in SEEYA HONEY losing ground. On the turn into the back straight SURE YOU CAN and IMA SUAREZ bumped. SEEYA HONEY checked off the heels of KING’S SON entering the back straight. Turning out of the back straight SURE YOU CAN checked off the heels of CELS PRIDE. IMA SUAREZ raced wide on the turn into the home straight. SURE YOU CAN raced wide in the home straight.
