The greyhound OXLEY SUNRISE failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m.
The greyhound ATTA BOY TED failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m.
The start of this event was delayed as stewards held for another venue.
PROTO PENNY was best to begin. Shortly after the start GOLD PLATED and HELLO JOAN collided. Through the 1st turn SPRITELY LIL, RAPID AZZ and NARRINA raced tight and bumped. As a result NARRINA shifted out onto the running of PAVER QUEEN which lost ground. PAVER QUEEN was wide through the back straight. Approaching the top turn HELLO JOAN and NARRINA came together. GOLD PLATED was wide through the top turn. Racing through the top turn LOOKING AT ME shifted out forcing PAVER QUEEN wide. PAVER QUEEN and LOOKING AT ME were wide down the home straight.
JOIE ECLAT was best to begin. Shortly after the start MEADOW COURT and FARMOR EL DORADO collided. Through the 1st turn FARMOR EL DORADO and ALMOST DODGY came together. As a result FARMOR EL DORADO shifted out severely checking YOWIE HUNTER and MAGIC TOFF. All 3 greyhounds lost ground as a result. Passing the catching pen ALMOST DODGY improved onto the heels of CULPER SPY and was checked. ALMOST DODGY was wide through the back straight. Through the top turn MEADOW COURT shifted out off the heels of ALMOST DODGY. YOWIE HUNTER and FARMOR EL DORADO were wide down the home straight.
Race 3 – Maiden
431m
IMA COUNTRY BOY was best to begin. CLASSY BAMQUIN and PREMIER GAS were slow to begin. Through the 1st turn RYLI’S RAMBO shifted in tightened PEPE LEPEW and PREMIER GAS. As a result PEPE LEPEW was forced to make contact with the running rail and lost ground. PREMIER GAS and CLASSY BAMQUIN were wide through the back straight. Entering the home straight PREMIER GAS shifted out off the heels of RYLI’S RAMBO. CLASSY BAMQUIN was wide down the home straight.
The
greyhound PEPE LEPEW was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 4 – Novice
431m
FREDRIK was best to begin. Through the 1st turn MY MISS GRACIE shifted in tightening ROB’S ME MATE and MAGGIE MERLOT. Shortly after, MAGGIE MERLOT and GRANDULLON raced tight and unbalanced. Passing the catching pen MY MISS GRACIE was tightened between ROB’S ME MATE and KNOCKA’S ASSET and lost ground. Shortly after, GRANDULLON improved onto the heels of KNOCKA’S ASSET and was checked. GRANDULLON was wide through the back straight. Entering the top turn FREDRIK and DELTA GOOD WIN raced tight. GRANDULLON was wide down the home straight.
The
greyhound MY MISS GRACIE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10
days.
Race 5 –
4/5th Grade 520m
SPRING CANDY, ROSDUE DYNAMO and HARLEY ARE were best to begin with WINTON BURN slow. Immediately after the start HARLEY ARE shifted in tightening SECRET STASH and JUNIOR CHAVEZ. Entering the 1st turn SECRET STASH shifted out off the heels of HARLEY ARE tightening PEARLS ANGEL and colliding heavily with WITH A GEE. As a result WITH A GEE and SECRET STASH raced wide through the 1st turn and lost significant ground. Approaching the top turn PEARLS ANGEL shifted in hampering JUNIOR CHAVEZ.
Race 6 –
4/5th Grade Heat 1 431m
GUNNER MAGIC and BON YEO were slow to begin. Shortly after the start ANOA’I shifted in tightening PREMIER PLAYER and MAYWYN WILL WIN. Through the 1st turn PREMIER PLAYER, BON YEO and GUNNER MAGIC collided while ANOA’I, MAYWYN WILL WIN and BANDALORE raced tight and unbalanced. As a result MAYWYN WILL WIN and BANDALORE lost ground and severely inconvenienced GUNNER MAGIC, BON YEO and PREMIER PLAYER, which were following. HAYJESTA was wide through the back straight and home straight.

7 – 4/5th Grade Heat 2 431m
Even start. Through the 1st turn SURE YOU CAN shifted out tightening FAST BEAN, MISS MERINO and LOVE LETTERS. KIDATEE JOSH and LOVE LETTERS raced tight passing the catching pen. Approaching the top turn LOVE LETTERS was tightened as KIDATEE JOSH shifted in. Entering the home straight SURE YOU CAN and BAY OF SPRITE raced tight and unbalanced.

8 – 4/5th Grade Heat 3 431m
WOOL WASH was slow to begin. Through the 1st turn CEL’S PRIDE and LANCASTER ROSE came together as did STUART’S CHOICE, LOAD ME UP and CYNDIE’S SPECIAL. Shortly after, STUART’S CHOICE shifted out off the heels of LOAD ME UP. Approaching the top turn STUART’S CHOICE shifted in tightening WOOL WASH which lost ground.
The greyhound WOOL WASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

9 – 4/5th Grade Heat 4 431m
ROSDUE BOOMER was best to begin. Shortly after the start SHEEP SHAPE shifted in checking MY COSMIC ENCORE. Through the 1st turn MAGICAL GIRL and CYCLONE TEMANI were tight. Approaching the catching pen MY COSMIC ENCORE shifted out off the heels of MAGICAL GIRL and collided with SHEEP SHAPE. As a result MY COSMIC ENCORE raced wide passing the catching pen. Shortly after, MAGIC KITCHEN shifted out off the heels of MISS HALLIUS and collided with MAGICAL GIRL. MY COSMIC ENCORE was wide through the top turn. Entering the home straight SHEEP SHAPE and MAGICAL GIRL raced tight and unbalanced. Down the running ROSDUE BOOMER and MISS HALLIUS came together.

10 – 4/5th Grade Heat 5 431m
SLICK HEIDI was best to begin with SONIC REDUCER, SUPER STRING and OUR CHALLENGE slow. Through the 1st turn SHANAE’S MAGIC improved onto the heels of MALLOURY QUEEN and was checked. SUPER STRING which was following was inconvenienced. Shortly after, SONIC REDUCER and SPRING TYRANT came together. Entering the back straight SUPER STRING was tightened between OUR CHALLENGE and FARMOE SENORITA. SLICK HEIDI was wide through the back straight. Leaving the back straight SPRING TYRANT was tightened between SHANAE’S MAGIC and SONIC REDUCER and lost ground. OUR CHALLENGE which was following was inconvenienced.
The greyhound SPRING TYRANT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
