SPRING CRYSTAL and RYLI’S RAMBO were best to begin with CULPER SPY slowly away. Soon after the start TEETH GRIEF and RYLI’S RAMBO collided causing TEETH GRIEF to check LADY STARGAZER. On the turn into the back straight TEETH GRIEF checked off the heels of RYLI’S DREAMER. In the back straight TEETH GRIEF was wide. On the top turn LADY STARGAZER and VISIONARY collided causing VISIONARY to check CULPER SPY. In the home straight RYLI’S DREAMER was wide.
KAPALUA and BARCELLA were best to begin with SMASHNIAK FIVE slowly away. Soon after the start MY EYES ONLY and SMASHNIAK FIVE collided causing SMASHNIAK FIVE to check HAZY GAZE. On the turn into the back straight SMASHNIAK FIVE checked off the heels of FULL BAMQUIN. In the back straight YOU THERE JOAN was wide. In the home straight YOU THERE JOAN was wide.
Race 3 – Novice 431m
The start of this race was delayed due to a local harness event.
Even start with CLASSY BARCY slowly away. Entering the back straight DAYSEAS COSMO checked off the heels of FREDRIK causing DAYSEAS COSMO to check CLASSY BARCY. In the back straight CLASSY BARCY was wide. On the top turn HECTORMALEE checked off the heels of PRINCESS TOUCH causing HECTORMARLEE to falter. In the home straight CLASSY BARCY was wide.
Race 4 – Novice 431m
FASHION ADVICE and GOLD PLATED were best to begin with CLASSY MOVER very slowly away. Soon after the start CLASSY MOVER pulled up and took no further competitive part in the event. Entering the back straight AUSSIE OZZIE and GOLD PLATED collided. In the back straight GOLD PLATED was wide. Entering the top turn ELL’S ALL CLASS checked off the heels of TARA MARRIE. In the home straight AUSSIE OZZIE and GOLD PLATED were wide.
The greyhound CLASSY MOVER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.
Race 5 – 4/5th
Grade Heat 1 431m
AL SENOR was best to begin with the remainder evenly away. Soon after the start LITTLE SIZZLER and PREMIER PLAYER collided. Entering the back straight GOOD BYE JOAN and SPRING CANDY collided causing SPRING CANDY to check GREYSYND FANTASY. In the back straight MORGAN was wide. On the top turn and home straight MORGAN was wide.
Race 6 – 4/5th
Grade Heat 2 431m
HAYJESTA was best to begin with TRU RYDER slowly away. Entering the back straight SO SWANKY checked off the heels of SURE YOU CAN with SPRING INDIGO dropping out and taking no further competitive part in the event. On the top turn HAYJESTA was wide. In the home straight HAYJESTA was wide.
The
greyhound SPRING INDIGO was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 431m
WHIRLY WAY and MY DIEGO were best to begin with GATE SLINGER slowly away. Soon after the start DELTA GOOD WIN and KING’S GEM collided. Entering the back straight CHLOE BENZ and ROCKY BENZ collided checking MY DIEGO. In the back straight CHLOE BENZ was wide. On the top turn DELTA GOOD WIN checked off the heels of GATE SLINGER causing DELTA GOOD WIN to check MY DIEGO. In the home straight CHLOE BENZ was wide.
Race 8 – 4/5th Grade 520m
ROSDUE DYNAMO was best to begin with PARCHMENT and MOSS WIN QUEEN slowly away. On the turn out of the home straight PARCHMENT and MOSS WIN QUEEN collided forcing PARCHMENT wide. In the back straight WINDSOR was wide. In the home straight GOT THE ATTITUDE was wide.
Race 9 – 4/5th Grade Heat 3 431m
KATE’S CRASH and BEAUTY ROSE HI were best to begin with FYRE GAL slowly away. Entering the back straight RYLI’S RANGA and MANYARA MISS collided. In the back straight FYRE GAL was wide. On the top turn FAIR BONGANI was wide. Entering the home straight HABANA FLEX and OUT WEST collided.
Race 10 – 4/5th Grade Heat 4 431m
YALINGA was best to begin with DIRTY DESSA slowly away. Soon after the start FAIR DAISY and HAZY JANE collided. Entering the back straight LOVE LETTERS and HAZY JANE collided. In the back straight FAIR DAISY was wide. On the top turn IMA SUAREZ was wide. In the home straight IMA SUAREZ and FAIR DAISY were wide.
