GENERAL

 

The greyhound BOGIE STUNNER performed a Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.96.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

URBAN ENFORCER was best to begin.  MID WESTERN GIRL, MADAM’S FLASH’S, DEVELOPER and SMAUG’S BOUNTY were slow to begin.  VISIONARY shifted in on the turn out of the front straight bumping MILDUE onto MID WESTERN GIRL, resulting in 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  MADAM’S FLASH’S and DEVELOPER bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to SMAUG’S BOUNTY.  MADAM’S FLASH’S and MILDUE bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight resulting in MADAM’S FLASH’S racing onto the heels of MILDUE.  DEVELOPER and SMAUG’S BOUNTRY raced wide on the turn into the back straight.  MID WESTERN GIRL shifted out in the front and home straight bumping SMAUG’S BOUNTY onto URBAN ENFORCER, who in turn bumped DEVELOPER, resulting in those greyhounds all becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

 

The greyhound MADAM’S FLASH’S was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Novice 431m

BOB EFFECTS was best to begin.  LOCH BEN was slow to begin.  MEMGEEBEE and WENEREX bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  BOB EFFECTS and TARA MARRIE bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in TARA MARRIE losing ground.  DIANNE’S PEARL checked off the heels of PREMIER BEAR entering the back straight.  WENEREX checked off the heels of PREMIER BEAR in the back straight.  MEMGEEBEE raced onto the heels of BOB EFFECTS towards the end of the back straight, resulting in BOB EFFECTS losing considerable ground.

 

The greyhound BOB EFFECTS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

MADAM MEDUSA was best to begin and NIL ALL DRAW was slow to begin.  MAYWYN’S KEEPER checked off the heels of RUM RAMBLER shortly after the start, causing interference to NIL ALL DRAW.  RUM RAMBLER and MAYWYN’S KEEPER bumped on several occasions in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  RUM RAMBLER shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping BY THE GALLON, resulting in this greyhound becoming unbalanced.  RUM RAMBLER checked across the heels of BY THE GALLON on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to SKETCHY AIMY.  BY THE GALLON and MAYWYN’S KEEPER bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in MAYWYN’S KEEPER losing ground.  NIL ALL DRAW raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 431m

The starting boxes opened prior to the lure passing the starting point.  All greyhounds jumped with no lure.  Subsequently the race was declared a ‘No Race’.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start with SPRING FIRECHIEF slow.  SPRINT FIRECHIEF and STRING QUARTET bumped prior to turning out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  ROSDUE DYNAMO and EARNING bumped shortly after the start resulting in EARNING losing ground.  STRING QUARTET shifted out in the front straight on the 1st occasion bumping ROSDUE DYNAMO causing interference to EARNING.  STRING QUARTET shifted wide on the turn out of the front straight bumping STRING QUARTET and forcing that greyhound to race wide.  DASHING CANUTE raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 520m

AGRO’S GUN was best to begin.  BOGIE’S A STAR shifted out shortly after the start checking PARCHMENT.  BOGIE’S A STAR and PARCHMENT bumped on several occasions in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  EL KHOBAR shifted out on the turn out of the front straight forcing AGRO’S GUN to race wide.  BOGIE’S A STAR checked across the heels of GOT THE ATTITUDE on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to PARCHMENT.  GOT A BROTHER checked off the heels of GOT THE ATTITUDE on the turn into the back straight.  GOT A BROTHER checked off the heels of DARK BLAST and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BOGIE’S A STAR raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 431m

Even start.  GUNSPEED and HANSON COSMOS bumped shortly after the start resulting in HANSON COSMOS becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  LOTUS BLOSSOM and FARMOR EYE AM bumped on the turn into the back straight.  KATE’S CRASH checked off the heels of HEZ SO FAST on the turn into the back straight.  HEZ SO FAST and YALINGA bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in HEZ SO FAST losing ground.  HANSON COSMOS checked across the heels of GUNSPEED in the back straight.  KATE’S CRASH checked off the heels of BLACK PARADOX on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to HEZ SO FAST.  HEZ SO FAST raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 520m

PICTURES PEARCE and BON YEO were slow to begin.  THUNDER EYES was marginally slow to begin.  THUNDER EYES checked off the heels of PRINCE FREDERICK and lost ground shortly after the start.  CUTE TO BOOT checked off the heels of SPRING COLARADO on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to BON YEO and THUNDER EYES.  CUTE TO BOOT and PRINCE FREDERICK raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start KING’S GEM shifted out with IT’S MY TIME shifting in from a wider position resulting in interference to MAJESTIC JESTER, VALENTINO JACK and GUNNER MAGIC.  IT’S MY TIME and ROCKY BENZ bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to SPLIT IT. MAJECTIC JESTER checked off the heels of ROCKY BENZ and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  VALENTINO JACK raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

ROSDUE BOOMER was best to begin.  CANE D’ORO was slow to begin.  ROSDUE BOOMER and QUE SERA bumped on the turn into the back straight.  HOPPING HOUDINI and SNOWBALL BOB bumped on the turn into the back straight.  CANE D’ORO raced wide into the back straight.  HOPPING HOUDINI shifted in on the turn into the front straight checking SMASH EM UP resulting in QUE SERA checking across the heels of SMASH EM UP putting this greyhound off balance, causing it to bump heavily with CANE D’ORO.  CANE D’ORO was forced wider on the track with QUE SERA being off balance and checking across its heels.  QUE SERA raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound QUE SERA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound CANE D’ORO was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the webbing and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
