The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 431m

JET FAST was best to begin with FULL BAMQUIN slow.  Shortly after the start FOCUS ME shifted in colliding with KID GENIUS and COUNTRY CYCLONE.  As a result FOCUS ME proceeded to shift out causing tightening to EBONY’S SECRET, FARMOR MAYHEM, GLENOIT and JET FAST and all greyhounds became unbalanced.  FULL BAMQUIN which was following was inconvenienced.  Shortly after FARMOR MAYHEM and JET FAST came together and FARMOR MAYHEM was forced out onto the running of GLENOIT.  Passing the catching pen JET FAST appeared to ease in clear running and turned its head outwards as a result hampering FARMOR MAYHEM.  COUNTRY CYCLONE was wide through the back straight.  Entering the home straight FOCUS ME shifted out hampering GLENOIT.

 

The greyhound JET FAST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Rolls that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 431m

MAYWYN MACEY was best to begin.  Through the 1st turn GUNNADOO RAIDER shifted in checking MISS OLYMPIA.  Passing the catching pen AMY’S ELITE shifted out off the heels of MAYWYN MACEY.  Entering the top turn MISS OLYMPIA shifted out hampering MAYWYN MACEY.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

PROVIDENCE, PRINCESS TOUCH and PROTO PENNY were best to begin.  Shortly after the start ONE OVER CRUSH and NAPALM raced tight.  Entering the 1st turn PROTO PENNY shifted out colliding with ONE OVER CRUSH.  Shortly after, GOLDBRAU, PREMIER BEAR and NAPALM came together.  Passing the catching pen PROTO PENNY was tightened between ONE OVER CRUSH and PREMIER BEAR and lost round.  NAPALM which was following was inconvenienced.  AUSSIE OZZIE was wide through the back straight.  Approaching the top turn NAPALM improved onto the heels of PREMIER BEAR and was checked.  Shortly after, PRINCESS TOUCH shifted in checking ONE OVER CRUSH.  Entering the home straight NAPALM and ONE OVER CRUSH came together.  Approaching the winning post PREMIER BEAR shifted in checking NAPALM.

 

The greyhound PROTO PENNY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 431m

PREMIER PLAYER, KING’S SON and KNOCKA’S ASSET were best to begin.  Shortly after the start LOCH BEN and MY MATE LING raced tight. A short time later LOCH BEN and MY MATE LING came together.  LOCH BEN and MY MATE LING raced tight through the 1st turn.  GOLD PLATED was wide through the back straight.  Entering the top turn KNOCKA’S ASSET shifted in checking SPRING CRYSTAL which lost ground.  BEAR FOR BREAKY and KING’S SON raced tight entering the home straight.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start SLICK HEIDI and THUNDER OF SPEED came together.  Through the 1st turn BONNIE’S DREAM and ANTI DENTITE collided with ANTI DENTITE forced onto the running of ROCKY BE GOOD.  Shortly after ROCKY BE GOOD and BONNIE’S DREAM bumped. Entering the back straight BONNIE’S DREAM shifted in checking THUNDER OF SPEED which lost ground.  Approaching the top turn MR. TRANSPORTER and SLICK HEIDI came together.  Entering the home straight MR. TRANSPORTER shifted in colliding with BONNIE’S DREAM and both greyhounds raced tight and unbalanced for a short distance.  GRAVITY WOLF shifted in tightening GUNSPEED approaching the winning post.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m

GATE SLINGER was best to begin.  Shortly after the start MISS HALLIUS was tightened between AGRO’S GUN and FYRE GAL and lost ground.  Through the top turn CORNELIA JESS and MOTORIN’ CIDER came together with MOTORIN’ CIDER losing ground as a result.

 

The greyhound MISS HALLIUS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m

HOLYWOOD ROSE HI and WHITE MARLIN were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HIGHLIFE shifted in tightening MAJESTIC SEINE.  Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion EL KHOBAR shifted in forcing HAZY JANE in onto the running of HIGHLIFE which lost ground.  Rounding the 1st turn EL KHOBAR shifted out and raced wide.

 

The greyhound WHITE MARLIN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound EL KHOBAR was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toenail and was stood down for a period of 5 days.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start STRONG STANLEY, WINNING NOVA, ZIPPING MANI and SNOWBALL BOB were tightened between KATE’S CRASH and GIGGLING BEACH, both of which shifted.  Through the top turn ZIPPING MANI and STRONG STANLEY raced tight and bumped.  Entering the home straight GIGGLING BEACH shifted out off the heels of KATE’S CRASH and collided with SNOWBALL BOB.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

ULTIMATE STAR and GOD ONLY KNOWS were best to begin.  Through the 1st turn HABANA FLEX and ROCK ON ROLLA came together and as a result HABANA FLEX was forced to shift out onto the running of OUT WEST and SPRING CLOVER, checking these 2 greyhounds.  GARRANGAY DUK was also inconvenienced.  Entering the back straight HABANA FLEX shifted in tightening GARRANGAY DUK.  Approaching the top turn HABANA FLEX shifted in hampering GARRANGAY DUK.  Entering the top turn ROCK ON ROLLA shifted out off the heels of LITTLE SIZZLER.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

LOVE LETTERS and JOIE ECLAT were best to begin with KILTY JACK slow.  Through the 1st turn TOURMALINE, KING’S GEM and BOGIE FLYER collided and became unbalanced.  TOURMALINE lost ground and SPRITELY LIL which was following was forced to shift out onto the running of DIRTY DESSA with both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  Through the top turn DIRTY DESSA improved onto the heels of SPRITELY LIL and both greyhounds were checked.  Entering the home straight TOURMALINE shifted out off the heels of BOGIE FLYER and was checked.
