The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound JUST LIKE TINA performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance 431m in a time of 25.12.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

Even start with SWEET DELIGHT slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn shortly after the start resulting in RYLI’S CAM, ROCKING RONNY and HOPEFUL JACK all being tightened for racing room and losing ground.  AMY’S ELITE and CONRAD bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in CONRAD becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ROCKING RONNY checked off the heels of CONRAD on the turn into the front straight.

 

The greyhound ROCKING RONNY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound RYLI’S CAM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 520m

Even start with SUNNYSIDE JAY slow to begin.  BRALYN CHARLIE checked across the heels of BETTY’S GEM in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  BRALYN CHARLIE shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping BETTY’S GEM and forcing this greyhound wide.  DEVELOPER checked off the heels of SPRING ESTELLE on the turn into the back straight resulting in DEVELOPER becoming unbalanced shifting out causing interference to BRALYN CHARLIE, who in turn shifted out causing interference to ELITE COMMANDO, in turn out onto JAY BAY QUEEN who shifted out in turn onto CIGAR SAM.  BETTY’S GEM and DEVELOPER bumped heavily on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.  SPRING ESTELLE checked across the heels of SUNNYSIDE JAY entering the home straight.  ELITE COMMANDO raced wide in the home straight.  SPRING ESTELLE and BRALYN CHARLIE bumped in the front straight just prior to the finish line.

 

The greyhound BETTY’S GEM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

CADILLAC LASS and DIANNE’S PEARL were slow to begin.  ELL’S ALL CLASS checked off the heels of DIANNE’S PEARL on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to COUNTRY CYCLONE.

 

The greyhound LONESOME DUK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – Novice 520m

MR. REALITY, VISIONARY and TOMMY WILDCAT were marginally slow to begin.  MAYWYN’S COPY shifted out shortly after the start causing interference to MR. REALITY, VISIONARY and TOMMY WILDCAT, resulting in MR. REALITY and VISIONARY losing considerable ground.  TOMMY WILDCAT checked off the heels of SKETCHY AIMY and lost some ground on the turn out of the front straight.  TOMMY WILDCAT checked off the heels of MR. REALITY on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to VISIONARY.  PEPPER PRINCESS and SKETCHY AIMY raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN’S YING was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound TOMMY WILDCAT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. L McHugh that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior to nominating.  Trainer advised the greyhound needs more education.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 431m

GRAVITY WOLF and RYLEE’S RING IN were best to begin.  ONE OVER CRUSH and NEAT ALRIGHT bumped heavily shortly after the start, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  LOAD ME UP checked off the heels of KING’S GEM on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to ONE OVER CRUSH.  RYLEE’S RING IN raced wide in the home straight.  GRAVITY WOLF raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m

TAIPAN’S TIME was tightened for racing room between DARK BLAST and BUTCHULLA BOY and lost ground shortly after the start.  BLACK MODEL raced wide in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  SHANIA SIND checked off the heels of MOTORIN’ CIDER and lost some ground on the turn out of the front straight.  MOTORIN’ CIDER and BLACK MODEL bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in BLACK MODEL becoming unbalanced and racing wide.  BLACK MODEL continued to race wide in the back straight.  BLACK MODEL raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m

LITTLE TRISH was best to begin.  CAUSEWAY CHARLIE was slow to begin.  REALITY GHOST checked off the heels of LITTLE TRISH and lost ground prior to turning out of the front straight.  HOUINDEED checked off the heels of DYNAMITE SPEED and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  DYNAMITE SPEED and CAUSEWAY CHARLIE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m

VICKI ROSE HI was best to begin.  HER’S NOT HIS was marginally slow to begin.  RYLEE’S ROULETTE shifted out shortly after the start bumping LOTUS BLOSSOM onto HER’S NOT HIS onto BLACKJACK GENT, resulting in 4 greyhounds losing ground.  MAL ROSE HI raced onto the heels of AURIGA DOLL on the turn into the back straight, resulting in AURIGA DOLL losing ground.  MAYWYN ZILCH lost ground for no apparent reason in the front straight appearing injured.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN ZILCH was vetted and found to have suffering cramping and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

HEZ SO FAST was best to begin.  DIAMOND OSPREY was tightened for racing room between WINNING NOVA and KATE’S CRASH and lost ground shortly after the start.  ROSDUE BOOMER shifted in on the turn into the back straight checking DIAMOND OSPREY causing some inconvenience to WINNING NOVA.  WINNING NOVA shifted out on the turn into the back straight causing interference to KATE’S CRASH.  KATE’S CRASH checked off the heels of DUNILLER on the turn out of the back straight.  WALLY WHO CALLS and DIAMOND OSPREY bumped just prior to the finish line.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

GLOBAL DEEJAY was best to begin.  NOT WORTH IT was slow to begin.  PUB STAR, ZAFONIC’S LADY and MIDNIGHT TAMMY all bumped shortly after the start.  PUB STAR checked off the heels of BOGIE TOM and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  THREADS checked off the heels of BOGIE TOM and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SURE YOU CAN shifted wide on the turn into the home straight forcing BOGIE TOM to race wide and also THREADS to race wide.  THREADS continued to race very wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound BOGIE TOM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
