GENERAL

 

The greyhound STARJAMMER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.36.

 

The greyhound KITBOOLOU ADAM performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.45.

 

The greyhound KITBOOLOU BULLSI performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.39.

 

The greyhound KITBOOLOU PRETTY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.86.

 

The greyhound KITBOOLOU LUCY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.47.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

PEPE LEPEW was best to begin.  ELECTRIC BUNDY, GO FOR HOME and BIRCHY REX were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start GO FOR HOME and SHAYLOR GEORGE came together causing both greyhounds to be checked.  Shortly afterwards ELECTRIC BUNDY and SHAYLOR GEORGE came together causing both greyhounds to be checked.  Turning into the back straight ELECTRIC BUNDY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight ELECTRIC BUNDY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 431m

The greyhound HARRY BENZ was vetted pre race and no apparent injuries were found and passed fit to race.

 

RHYTHMIC CRUISER and CHLOE’S IMAGE were best to begin.  Shortly after the start SPRING BO BO and TWICE COOKED bumped causing both greyhounds to be checked.  Approaching the turn into the back straight HAPPY GEORGE and TEMPO JET came together, resulting in both greyhounds being checked.  HARRY BENZ was checked as a result of this incident.  Leaving the back straight HARRY BENZ contacted the heels of CHLOE’S IMAGE and was checked and lost ground.

 

Ms. J Viles the trainer of TEMPO JET was reminded of her obligations in respect of boxing the greyhound for  the race.

 

Race 3 – Maiden 431m

BOMBAY ROLLER was best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight GALWAY LIGHTNING was tightened for racing room and lost some ground.

 

The greyhound STEALTH MODE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side fibula and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight MAYWYN MOOLA raced tight and was checked as a consequence.  Shortly afterwards MAYWYN MOOLA shifted out and made contact with CREDIT LIMIT which in turn shifted out and made contact with a COUNTRY CYCLONE causing all 3 greyhounds to be checked.  Leading into the back straight MUGGED ON TOUR made heavy contact with the hindquarters of YOWIE HUNTER resulting in both greyhounds being severely checked and losing considerable ground.

 

The greyhound YOWIE HUNTER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – Novice 431m

PROTO PENNY was best to begin.  Shortly after the start PAPER SHOT, FOCUS ME and SHAKIRA BELLA came together resulting in all 3 greyhounds being checked and lose ground.  Shortly after RUBY BELTAH and SPICY ATTITUDE came together resulting in RUBY BELTAH being checked and losing ground.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start ROCKY BENZ and GUNNER came together causing both greyhounds to be checked. Shortly after the start TARA MARRIE raced tight for racing room, checked and lost some ground.  Shortly after BIG RED DEVIL and HER STORY bumped.  Approaching the turn into the back straight ROCKY BENZ was tightened for racing room between BIG RED DEVIL and GUNNER which resulted in ROCKY BENZ losing ground.  Shortly afterwards ROCKY BENZ collided with MAGIC FLY HIGH causing both greyhounds to be severely checked and lost valuable ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight HER STORY was tightened for racing room when TARA MARRIE shifted out causing HER STORY to be checked and lose ground.

 

Race 7 – 0 – 2 wins 630m

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the front straight COVERT AFFAIR was tightened for racing room and lost some ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight COVERT AFFAIR shifted out causing BONNIE BRAE to race wider.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 431m

Even start.  Rounding the turn into the back straight COOL CREDIT, GRAVITY WOLF, MIGHTY OAK, OVER HERE and HABANA FLEX all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds being checked to varying degrees. Rounding the turn into the back straight SPECIAL VIRTUE shifted out and made contact with ROYAL ALBERT causing both greyhounds to be checked.  SPECIAL VIRTUE raced wide in the back straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 2 431m

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight ARABIAN MELODY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly afterwards ARABIAN MELODY and HYPNOTIZED came together resulting in HYPNOTIZED being checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight THREADS raced wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 3 431m

Even start.  NOT WORTH IT was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SPLIT SYSTEM, WHIRLY WAY bumped and lost some ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight READY MADE SIZE shifted out and made contact with SPLIT SYSTEM resulting in both greyhounds being checked.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound READY MADE SIZE would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.
