The greyhound JULIE SIZE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.42.
The greyhound METAL JACKET performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 413m in a time of 25.56.
The greyhound STEEL JUNGLE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 413m in a time of 26.37.
DASH OF FAITH was best to begin with CYNO BIRD slowly away. Entering the back straight CYNO BIRD and TIPPETT AND RUN collided causing TIPPETT AND RUN to check XENA LEE. On the top turn TIPPETT AND RUN and XENA LEE collided. In the home straight XENA LEE was wide.
MAYWYN PETTYCASH was best to begin with DEAD END slowly away. Soon after the start CYNO RED and DRAGON DUK collided. Entering the back straight SLEDGE HAMMER and CARLTON CREW collided causing SLEDGE HAMMER to check CYNO RED and DEAD END, causing SLEDGE HAMMER to drop back sharply. In the back straight RYAN ROAD was wide. In the home straight CARLTON CREW and RYAN ROAD were wide.
The greyhound SLEDGE HAMMER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – Maiden Final 431m
BLACK DASHY was best to begin with CYNO KING and GO FOR HOME slowly away. Soon after the start PENNYLESS, CYNO KING and SPRING RAYMOND collided causing SPRING RAYMOND to fall checking CYNO KING. In the back straight PENNYLESS checked off the heels of MCCAW MCCAW causing PENNYLESS to race wide. On the turn into the home straight GO FOR HOME checked of the heels of PENNYLESS.
The greyhound SPRING RAYMOND was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – Novice 431m
Even start. Soon after the start SCAR’S BROTHER and SPRING SHANGHAI collided. Through the catching pen FEAR OF JUDY and SNUBBING UNIT collided. Entering the back straight SCAR’S BROTHER checked off the heels of SNUBBING UNIT causing SCAR’S BROTHER to check SPRING SHANGHAI. In the back straight WEST MEAD BLUE was wide. On the top turn STOLE MY HEART checked off the heels of WEST MEAD BLUE causing STOLE MY HEART to check SCAR’S BROTHER. In the home straight SCAR’S BROTHER was wide.
Race 5 – 4/5th
Grade Heat 1 520m
WHITE MARLIN and DARCY’S CURSE were best to begin with EARNING and MISTER MUSIC slowly away. Soon after the start DARCY’S CURSE and SHANIA SIND collided. Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion SHANIA SIND checked off the heels of EARNING causing EARNING to drop back sharply. On the turn out of the home straight MISTER MUSIC was wide. In the home straight MISTER MUSIC was wide.
The greyhound EARNING was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 6 – 4/5th
Grade Heat 2 520m
LARAH BELL and BRALYN COOKIE were best to begin with SUNNYSIDE JAY and TRAP MAN slowly away. On the turn out of the home straight GATE SLINGER was wide. Entering the back straight WILDASH DUKE, MAYWYN’S YING and SUNNYSIDE JAY collided causing these greyhounds to falter and take no further competitive part in the event. In the home straight LARAH BELL was wide.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 431m
BIG YELLOW TAXI was wide with TASER SHOCK slowly away. Soon after the start ARK UP, FEARLESS DUK and ALEEAH JET collided causing ARK UP to drop back sharply checking SPRING TWIG causing SPRING TWIG to fall who in turn checked ROYAL ALBERT. In the home straight ARK UP was wide.
The greyhound SPRING TWIG was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 520m
SHANAE’S MAGIC was best to begin with ALPHA THESEUS slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight GLOBAL DEEJAY and GOLD ZIVA collided causing GOLD ZIVA to check BACELLA, BLACK COBIA and MAYWYN WILL WIN. On the turn out of the home straight BLACK COBIA checked off the heels of the MAYWYN WILL WIN with ALPHA THESEUS wide. ALPHA THESEUS was wide in the back straight and top turn. Entering the home straight GLOBAL DEEJAY and GOLD ZIVA were racing tight and bumping with ALPHA THESEUS wide.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m
INDIANA RUMBLE and LA MADRINA were best to begin with SPRING CHOICE slowly away. Entering the back straight HER’S NOT HIS and HABANA FLEX collided forcing HABANA FLEX wide into the back straight. In the home straight DOLLY BLOO was wide.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m
TARKS BLACK ROSE and AGRO’S GUN were best to begin with SPLIT SYSTEM slowly away. Entering the back straight AGRO’S GUN and DOOHAN TIME collided. In the back straight HYPNOTIZED was wide. In the home straight TARKS BLACK ROSE was wide.
