The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound JULIE SIZE performed a successful satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.30.

 

The greyhound METAL JACKET performed a successful satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.01.

 

The greyhound STEEL JUNGLE performed a successful satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.99.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 431m

Even start.  In the 1st turn CHLOE’S IMAGE, VELOCITY SAXA, KITBOOLOU ADAM and CORREEN’S LAD all collided and became unbalanced with CORREEN’S LAD and VELOCITY SAXA losing ground.  PAW PERFORMER was also inconvenienced as a result.  Entering the back straight VELOCITY SAXA and CORREEN’S LAD collided and became unbalanced.  MAYWYN NEVER was extremely wide in the back and home straights.

 

The greyhound CORREEN’S LAD was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 431m

OUR MAGIC BOY were best to begin and AVOID DAMAGE was slow.  In the 1st turn SPRING SERENA, MADDY’S RASCAL, TIPPETT AND RUN and SWEET MANTRA were all tight and unbalanced, resulting in SPRING SERENA and MADDY’S RASCAL losing ground.

 

The greyhound MADDY’S RASCAL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Final 431m

DASH OF FAITH was best to begin with DEAD END slow.  On the 1st turn RYAN ROAD and CARLTON CREW collided.  Shortly after, ROMELDA checked off heels and collided with RYAN ROAD and both greyhounds lost ground.  In the back straight HAZY GAZE and KAMIKAZE TURTLE came together and KAMIKAZE TURTLE lost ground.  RYAN ROAD was wide in the back straight.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

SNUBBING UNIT and SITELLA were best to begin with TWO MINUTE and SPRING RAYMOND slow.  SPRING RAYMOND was checked shortly after the start.  Entering the 1st turn SNUBBING UNIT shifted in tightening WOODY’S RETURN, LIL’ BIT COUNTRY and EL MUFASA and all were unbalanced.  In the 1st turn TWO MINUTE, EL MUFASA, LIL’ BIT COUNTRY, WEST MEAD BLUE and SPRING RAYMOND collided and became unbalanced with SPRING RAYMOND losing ground.  Passing the catching pen WOODY’S RETURN checked off heels.  EL MUFASA and WEST MEAD BLUE were wide in the back straight.  Entering the top turn SPRING RAYMOND was tightened and lost ground.  EL MUFASA was wide through the top turn.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 431m

SKYE BRIDGE and SPICY ATTITUDE were best to begin with DON’T DOUBT ME slow.  In the 1st turn OCTOBER SPRING, ELUSIVE FUSION and HE SAID YES were tight.  Passing the catching pen ROCKY BENZ and SKYE BRIDGE came together.  DON’T DOUBT ME was wide entering the back straight and ELUSIVE FUSION was wide throughout the back straight.  Approaching the top turn HE SAID YES checked off heels while ROCKY BENZ and SKYE BRIDGE came together.  Entering the home straight DON’T DOUBT ME checked off the heels and became unbalanced.  SPICY ATTITUDE was wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m

SPLIT SYSTEM was best to begin with GUN LEGACY slow.  In the home straight on the 1st occasion SPECIAL GIRL and RHYTHMIC CRUISER came together.  Entering the 1st turn GOT THE ATTITUDE checked off heels and collided with MAYWYN’S COPY causing this greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event.  GOT THE ATTITUDE also became severely unbalanced as a result.  In the top turn RHYTHMIC CRUISER and GUN LEGACY came together.

 

The greyhound GOT THE ATTITUDE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN’S COPY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m

Even start.  ANNIE ELLEN and GOLD ZIVA came together shortly after the start.  Through the 1st turn ANNIE ELLEN checked off heels forcing VILVANDA and GOLD ZIVA wide through the turn.  Passing the 600m MAYWYN WILL WIN shifted in tightening MISS OLYMPIA.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade Final 520m

SOLO MISS was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start DARCY’S CURSE, GATE SLINGER and MACIE’S DINGO came together and lost momentum.  Approaching the 1st turn DARCY’S CURSE shifted out tightening MISTER MUSIC, NOT LIKE TOMMY, SOLO MISS and WHITE MARLIN.  In the 1st turn GATE SLINGER and DARCY’S CURSE collided and DARCY’S CURSE lost ground and came together with NOT LIKE TOMMY.  WHITE MARLIN was wide in the back straight.  Through the top turn NOT LIKE TOMMY was tightened.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 431m

SPRING DREAM was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn SPRING DREAM shifted in checking CHAMPAGNE BENZ.  Approaching the top turn DOLLY BLOO tightened CHAMPAGNE BENZ which lost ground.  Entering the home straight CHAMPAGNE BENZ and SPRING DREAM came together and were unbalanced.

 

The greyhound CHAMPAGNE BENZ was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

SHE SAID NO was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SPRING DODGER, GLORIOUS WINTER and STRAIT ATE were tight and unbalanced.  Shortly after MOONLIGHT TYCOON and GLORIOUS WINTER collided.  Entering the back straight SHE SAID NO checked off heels.  Entering the top turn GLORIOUS WINTER checked off heels.
