GENERAL

 

The greyhound CHARMING GIRL performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.84 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

TRANSMEDIA was best to begin with GO FOR HOME slowly away.  Entering the back straight NORDOC MAGIC and CLASSY BAMQUIN collided.  On the top turn PROMISES BLUE was wide.  In the home straight ELITE COMANDO was wide.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 431m

PREMIER JET and BENMESSO were best to begin with TABBERER slowly away.  On the turn into the back straight WEHRE’S DINO and CHLOE’S IMAGE collided.  In the back straight MAYWYN IF LUCKY was wide.  In the home straight WHERE’S DINO turned its head outwards marring MAYWN IF LUCKY.

 

The greyhound STILL COMING was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. B Caden that the greyhound WHERE’S DINO would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

SNUBING UNIT was best to begin with MURBAH GOLD slowly away.  Soon after the start MAGIC MINSTREL and TELEX FINGERS collided.  Entering the back straight GLENALLON RINGO and STOLE MY HEART collided with MAGIC MINSTREL checking off the heels of MURBAH GOLD causing MAGIC MINSTREL to drop back sharply.  In the back straight GLENALLON RINGO was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight TELEX FINGERS and SHELIA DOOLEY collided.

 

The greyhound TELEX FINGERS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

GOTTA GET UP was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start HOOP DREAMS and EDGE ‘EM OUT collided.  Entering the back straight HOOP DREAMS checked off the heels of GOTTA GET UP causing HOOP DREAMS to check JAGGER LILLY forcing JAGGER LILLY wide in the back straight.  Entering the turn out of the back straight HOOP DREAMS and GOTTA GET UP collided causing GOTTA GET UP to shift out checking WEST MEAD BLUE causing these 2 greyhounds to take no further competitive part in the event.  In the home straight OIDOS EXTRANOS was wide.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Geraghty that the greyhound OIDOS EXTRANOS would be warned for its racing manners.

 

The greyhound GOTTA GET UP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound WEST MEAD BLUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade Heat 1 431m

GLOBAL DEEJAY was best to begin with RHYTHMIC CRUISER slowly away.  Entering the bacfk straight  RHYTHMIC CRUISER and SNOWBALL BAZZA collided.  In the back straight KIKEM SPRINGER was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight RHYTHMIC CRUISER checked off the heels of SNOWBALL BAZZA.  Approaching the finishing line RHYTHMIC CRUISER and RYLI’S RANGA collided.

 

The greyhound RHYTHMIC CRUISER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 - 4/5th Grade Heat 2 431m

NEEDY AND GREEDY was best to begin with ROYAL ALBERT slowly away.  Entering the back straight    SPICY ATTITUDE was wide.  In the back straight and top turn SPICY ATTITUDE was wide.  In the home straight ROYAL ALBERT checked off the heels of LOAD ME UP.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 520m

TOKYO SWIFT was best to begin with MARLUCA and MAYWYN’S YING slowly away.  Approaching the turn out of the home straight HER FAULT and SUITE ALEXIS collided.  On the turn out of the home straight SHE CAN DO checked off the heels of MARLUCA forcing       SHE CAN DO wide.  In the home straight SHE CAN DO was wide.

 

The greyhound MARLUCA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Connections stated that the greyhound was supported by them and that the greyhound has only trailed once at Ipswich.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade Final 431m

Even start with NANGAR TIGER slowly away.  Soon after the start MAYWYN ZILCH and IT’S MY TIME collided.  In the back straight MELODY SERENADE was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight MARINERS BEACH brushed the running rail.  Entering the home straight NANGAR TIGER and PEARLS A PLENTY collided.  In the home straight MELODY SERENADE was wide.

 

Race 9 - 4/5th Grade Heat 3 431m

MAGICAL YESSAM was best to begin with WILDASH WARRIOR slowly away.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight PROTO PENNY checked off the heels of GUNNER causing PROTO PENNY to fall checking HYPNOTIZED.  In the back straight MISS ESPOSITO was wide.  In the home straight MISS ESPOSITO was wide.

 

The greyhound PROTO PENNY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 10 - 4/5th Grade Heat 4 431m

GRAVITY WOLF was best to begin with DOOLEY’S FIT and MIGHTY OAK slowly away.  Soon after the start DOOLEY’S FIT checked off the heels of LAKODA DAWN.  Entering the back straight HABANA FLEX checked off the heels of MIGHTY OAK.  In the back straight DOOLEY’S FIT was wide.  In the home straight GRAVITY WOLF was wide.
