The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 431m

KASEY’S TURBO and PENNYLESS were best to begin.  Through the 1st turn BAGO BETSY was checked from heels and shifted wider making contact with JULIE SIZE and PENNYLESS, resulting in all those 3 greyhounds losing ground.  Through the home turn JULIE SIZE improved onto the heels and raced wider for the rest of the event.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the METAL JACKET and MAYWN’S HOPE bumped.  Through the 1st turn there was general tightening between MAWYN IF LUCKY, STEEL JUNGLE, GRIMM’S BOY.  ONE ZERO SEVEN, ARDVARK and HEZA SIZE UP.  Out of the 1st turn STEEL JUNGLE shifted out inconveniencing the running of ONE ZERO SEVEN and HEZA SIZE UP forcing them to race wider.  Racing down the back straight MAYWYN’S HOPE and ARDVARK raced tight bumping for some distance.  Rounding the home turn MAYWYN’S HOPE shifted out making heavy contact with ARVARK.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Final 431m

KITBOOLOU BULLSI and RAISE ‘EM UP were slowest to begin.  Through the 1st turn RYAN ROAD was checked off the heels of FABULOUS WAZ causing it to lose ground.  Out of the 1st turn KITBOOLOU BULLSI improved up onto the heels of MAKE THE MOST, resulting in both greyhounds being severely checked and losing considerable ground.

 

The greyhound MAKE THE MOST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

SCORCHING CORNER was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start BIG BAGO was tightened for room and lost its position.  Through the 1st turn TEN CENT TOSCA and SCORCHING CORNER raced wide.  Down the back straight TOUCH OF CAJUN shifted out taking MAYWYN MOOLA and MAYWYN NEVER wider on the track.  Rounding the home turn SCORCHING CORNER shifted in making contact with PURELY PENNY resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  In the run to the finish MAYWYN NEVER raced extremely wide.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 431m

IRISH MADE was slowest to begin.  Through the 1st turn OUTA CHANGE was checked off heels becoming severely unbalanced and losing ground.  MIDNIGHT HUNTER raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

The greyhound OUTA CHANGE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade Heat 1 520m

ALPHA ADONIS was slowest to begin.  Shortly after OXLEY RUBEY shifted in taking the running of TOKYO SWIFT resulting in TOKYO SWIFT losing its position.  Approaching the 1st turn SPRING FIRECHIEF shifted out bumping ZAFONIC’S LADY which resulted in ZAFONIC’S LADY, ALPHA ADONIS and TOKYO SWIFT wider on the track.  Over the concluding stages SPRING FIRECHIEF, MY EYES ONLY and SPRING BEAUTY all raced tight.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade Heat 2 520m

MARLUCA was best to begin.  Shortly after READY MADE SIZE, ZARA GIRL and SPRING SHANGHAI were all tightened for room with READY MADE SIZE and ZARA GIRL becoming unbalanced and SPRING SHANGHAI losing its position.  WALLOON SMARTIE and READY MADE SIZE raced wide through the 1st turn.  Rounding the home turn SPRING SHANGHAI was held up for clear running.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 520m

MAYWYN WILL WIN and TORQUE FLIGHT were both best to begin and IRINKA SHANE and MISS GLENREAGH were slowest.  Into the 1st turn IRINKA SHANE and FABULOUS BILL bumped resulting in both becoming unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn DON’T DOUBT ME was checked off the heels of FABULOUS BILL.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Shortly after SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and MR. HOPPINS were both severely checked and both lost considerable ground.  Out of the 1st turn SUPA SMOOTH OSTI was checked off heels.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Into the 1st turn COOL CREDIT, IMA SUAREZ, TUKULA and SPRING RAYMOND all raced tight resulting in COOL CREDIT and TUKULA both becoming unbalanced.  Through the 1st turn IMA SUAREZ improved onto heels and was tightened losing valuable ground.  From that point IMA SUAREZ raced wide.  Leaving the 1st turn COOL CREDIT was checked off heels.  Into and rounding the home turn SPRING RAYMOND improved onto heels becoming unbalanced.
