The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

MAKE THE MOST and TECHNO LEGEND were best to begin.  KITBOOLOU BULLSI was slow out.  Approaching the turn into the back straight RAISE ‘EM UP, BENMESSO and WINDORAH JACK raced tight.  Shortly after BENMESSO shifted out and made contact with WINDORAH JACK causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 431m

DASHING CHARGER was best to begin.  ELECTRIC BUNDY and SPRING BO BO were slow out.  Entering the back straight RYAN ROAD and PROMISES BLUE collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked.  In the back straight RYAN ROAD checked off the heels of ELECTRIC BUNDY and was hampered as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight DEAD END checked off the heels of JAYMIE’S REVENGE shifted out and came into contact with ELECTRIC BUNDY causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the front straight RYAN ROAD shifted out and came into contact with PROMISES BLUE causing both greyhounds to be checked.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

TRANSMEDIA and HOOP DREAMS were best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight TRANSMEDIA shifted out and contacted the hindquarters of HOOP DREAMS and was checked as a consequence.  Shortly after TRANSMEDIA shifted out and came into contact with QUEEN OF SHOW causing both greyhounds to be checked and losing ground.  Entering the back straight WEST MEAD BLUE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight GLENALLON RINGO checked off the heels of BATTLE READY and was hampered.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

SNUBBING UNIT, SPRING IT ON, ALPHA MIMOS and BANK ON ME were best to begin.  FAMOUS FOR FUN was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SMART HORNET and SNUBBING UNIT bumped.  At the same time SPRING IT ON and SHELIA DOOLEY collided.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SMART HORNET was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SHELIA DOOLEY was checked as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the back straight ALPHA MIMOS clipped the heels of BANK ON ME.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight SMART HORNET was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SMART HORNET was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 1 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start SHAYLOR BECKY, DOOLEY’S FIT, MURSLEY BOUNCER and DASHING DIME all raced tight.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SHAYLOR BECKY, DOOLEY’S FIT and MURSLEY BOUNCER collided resulting in each greyhound being checked.  As a consequence MURSLEY BOUNCER shifted out and came into contact with ITALIAN MAGIC which in turn contacted FARMOR SENOR and GUNNADOO RAIDER, causing all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees.  Entering the back straight ITALIAN MAGIC was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound ITALIAN MAGIC was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 2 431m

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight OKA’S ANGEL was tightened for racing room checked and as a consequence TRU BLU DASH contacted its hindquarters, resulting in TRU BLU DASH being severely checked and fell to the ground and took no further competitive part in the race.  KNOCKA’S ASSET was checked as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight KNOCKA’S ASSET and OKA’S ANGEL bumped resulting KNOCKA’S ASSET being hampered and raced wide.

 

The greyhound TRU BLU DASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 3 431m

FEAR ZAFLAMES, KLOEIS PRIDE and FLASH ZOE were best to begin.  Shortly after the start SHAYLOR EVELYN and ULTIMATE STAR came together causing both greyhounds to be checked.  Shortly after PARIS FRANCE and MAJOR LACHY came together causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  Approaching the turn into the back straight KLOEIS PRIDE was tightened for racing room and was hampered.  Shortly after FEAR ZAFLAMES and FLASH ZOE raced tight.  Entering the back straight MAJOR LACHY was checked and raced wide.

 

The greyhound MAJOR LACHY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the chest and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade Final 431m

GLOBAL DEEJAY and GRAVITY WOLF were best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight FIERY BENZ and NEEDY AND GREEDY bumped causing both greyhounds to be checked.  In the back straight MAGICAL YESSAM and FIERY BENZ collided.  Rounding the turn into the front straight LAKODA DAWN was tightened for racing room, checked and raced wide.  In the latter stages of the race MAGICAL YESSAM was held up for a clear run, shifted out causing it to be momentarily hampered.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 4 431m

Even start.  SCORPION QUEEN was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight PEBBLE BAY, SHAYLOR ZELDA, TWO SIZE’S ALL and EDGE ‘EM OUT were all tightened for racing room, checked to varying degrees.  SUPA SMOOTH OSTI was checked as a result of this incident.  Leaving the back straight TWO SIZE’S ALL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum.  EDGE ‘EM OUT raced wide around the final turn and into the front straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Final 431m

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight KULU KAMBALDA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound KULU FREEDOM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
