The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 9 MR. TRANSPORTER Failing to Pursue + injury, 1st offence, off side hip, 21
days + satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks
ARABELLA, UNDER ADVICE and TABBERER were best to begin. FERNLEE STAR was slow out. Shortly after the start CYNO ROSE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the back straight MADE TO RAINE and TONY’S A STAR bumped.
The tack conditions were downgraded to ‘Showery’.
Even start. CYNO MIRAGE was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight RUFFY ROAD checked off the heels of BUSH SPIRIT, shifted out and came into contact with CYNO MIRAGE which in turn bumped YOUNG DALLAS, causing all 3 greyhounds to be checked. RUFFY ROAD was momentarily held up for clear running leaving the back straight and was hampered as a consequence.

3 – Novice 431m
Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight BOMBAY ROLLER and BLACK DASH were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight SCAR’S BROTHER checked over the heels of TOUCH OF CAJUN and lost some ground.

4 – Novice 520m
BOLD AS BRASH and RYLI’S DREAMER were best to begin. KINLOCH DEE and BOOTY BEACH bumped shortly after the start. Rounding the 1st turn FLYING CIRCUS checked off the heels of SPRING QUAYS shifted out and made heavy contact with KINLOCH DEE causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. In the back straight FLYING CIRCUS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. EL MUFASA raced wide for the majority of the event.
The greyhound KINLOCH DEE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

5 – 5th Grade 431m
WALLY’S WAY and FEARLESS DUK were best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight BLUE HOUDINI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight MAURY SPIRIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight ALEEAH JET and MAURYN SPIRIT bumped. Rounding the turn into the front straight MAURY SPIRIT and ANGEL MOON collided causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
The greyhound IPSWICH MELODY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. L Waldon that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks prior to nominating.

6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m
Even start. BRAGA MCCOY was tightened for racing room shortly after the start, checked and lost some ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight HARLEY ARE was tightened for racing room, shifted out making contact with BRAGA MCCOY which in turn shifted out and made heavy contact with MAYWYN’S COPY causing all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. EGYPTIAN LASS was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Leaving the back straight GRIN AND WIN and SPLIT SYSTEM were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. HEZ SO FAST raced wide in the back straight and again into the run to the finish and lost ground over the concluding stages.
The greyhound HEZ SO FAST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found

7 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m
INSIDE PASS, TOURMALINE and GIFT BOX were best to begin. GLASS was slow out. BONNIE BRAE slipped shortly after the start and lost ground.

8 – Ipswich Cup Final 520m
MACNIVEK was best to begin. Shortly after the start SIMPATICO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after SHEZA KEEN SIZE and APATITE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the back straight APATITE and SIMPATICO collided, resulting in APATITE being checked and losing ground.

9 – 3/4th Grade 431m
LA MADRINA, ROCKY BE GOOD, AZARIAH and MAYWYN ZILCH were best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight RYLEE’S ROULETTE, ROCKY BE GOOD, RYLI’S RANGA and MAYWYN ZILCH all raced tight resulting in RYLI’S RANGA being checked and losing ground. MR. TRANSPORTER shifted out rounding the turn out of the back straight making contact with RYLEE’S ROULETEE causing that greyhound to be checked. Stewards advised trainer Mrs. D Huddleston that the greyhound MR. TRANSPORTER would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence plus injury, off side hip and was stood down for a period of 21 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

10 – 5th Grade 431m
PACIFIC CHAMP, ELUSIVE FUSION, ANNIE ELLEN and KING’S GEM were best to begin. DON’T DOUBT ME was slow out. ELUSIVE FUSION and ANNIE ELLEN raced wide in the back straight. DON’T DOUBT ME was tightened and checked leading into the back straight.
