The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

DOOGAL was best to begin.  I’M OUTTA HERE bounded up with the lids as the start was effected and lost ground.  Approaching the 1st turn I’M OUTTA HERE shifted out bumping MADE TO RAINE which placed it under the heels of CYNO ROSE, resulting in I’M OUTTA HERE and MADE TO RAINE both losing ground.  Approaching the back turn OLD HARRY ROCKS shifted out forcing SLEDGE HAMMER wide.  Rounding the home turn I’M OUTTA HERE checked off the heels of MADE TO RAINE.  OLD HARRY ROCKS raced wide in the early and middle stages.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Final 520m

RUFFY ROAD and TONY’S A STAR were slow to begin.  Shortly after SPRING BLONDE, NORDOC MAGIC and TABBERER all raced tight all resulting in NORDOC MAGIC losing its position.  Approaching the 1st turn SPRING BLONDE was checked off the heels of TABBERER and lost ground.  TONY’S A STAR raced wide for the majority.

 

The greyhound BRONSTER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3 – Novice 431m

Even start.  Into the 1st turn RYLI’S DREAMER and BLACK DASHG bumped resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn RYLI’S DREAMER was tightened for room and checked off heels losing significant ground.  RYLI’S DREAMER and HENRY JUDGE both raced wide from the middle and concluding stages.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Into the 1st turn ANGEL MOON, WALLY’S WAY and BIG WINSTON all bumped and became unbalanced.   Leaving the home turn SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and BIG WINSTON bumped and became unbalanced.  SPRING PLANET and SPRING BONANZA both raced wide throughout.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

VEGAS BOUND and SKIPAWAY were best to begin.  BOOTY BEACH and DOWN THEY CAME raced wide over the middle and concluding stages.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Shortly after the start OXLEY RUBEY shifted in abruptly making contact with SPRINGFIRECHIEF, AGRO‘S GUN and ASTOUND YA resulting in SPRING FIRECHIEF and AGRO’S GUN losing their positions.  Leaving the 1st turn AGRO’S GUN was checked off heels.  SPRING FIRECHIEF and KNIGHTS TEMPLAR raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 520m

GIFT BOX was best to begin.  Through the catching pen SMOKING PAWS was forced wide.

 

The greyhound SMOKING PAWS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m

The start of this race was delayed to hold for an interstate venue.

 

Even start.  Into the 1st turn TIME FOR ABBY, HEZ SO FAST, AZARIAH and ROCKY BE GOOD all raced tight resulting in HEZ SO FAST being checked from heels and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn FEARLESS DUK and TIME FOR ABBY bumped resulting in TIME FOR ABBY becoming unbalanced.  Approaching the back turn DENZANO OSTI was checked from the heels of AZARIAH.  Both greyhounds lost ground in this incident.  HEZ SO FAST raced wide throughout.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

EGYPTIAN LASS and SWEET DIMPLE were slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn EL CHAD shifted out bumping GORILLA EYES which then in turn bumped LUKAKU, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  SWEET DIMPLE which was following was inconvenienced and forced wider.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

WALLOON SMARTIE and SHIVERANCE were both slow to begin.  PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide throughout.
