GENERAL

 

The greyhound MR. HOPPINS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.75 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound BEKIM REBEL performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.57and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound HE’S A KNOCKA failed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m.  The greyhound HE’S A KNOCKA was vetted and found to have suffered heat stress and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 431m

FABULOUS HOPE was best to begin.  SPRING SERENA and COOL VILLAGE were slow out.  Approaching the turn into the back straight CYNO ROSE and GIFTED ANGEL collided.  COOL VILLAGE was hampered as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn into the back straight CYNO ROSE and GIFTED ANGEL collided causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the back straight COOL VILLAGE was momentarily tightened for racing room and was hampered.  Leaving the back straight SPRING SERENA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after SPRING SERENA clipped the heels of LADY TECHNO and was hampered.  Approaching the turn into the front straight COOL VILLAGE made heavy contact with the hindquarters of LADY TECHNO shifted out and collided with SPRING SERENA causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the home turn COOL VILLAGE, LADY TECHNO and CYNO ROSE all raced tight resulting in each greyhound being checked and losing ground.

 

The greyhound STIGMATA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Ollerton that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 431m

Even start.  ROCKET’S ANGEL was tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  SILK SCEPTRE and AVOID DAMAGE were tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight MCCAW MCCAW made heavy contact with the hindquarters of MAYWYN’S HOPE causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight CYNO SNIP and ROCK THE VILLAGE collided resulting in ROCK THE VILLAGE being checked and losing considerable ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SILK SCEPTRE and MAYWYN’S HOPE collided resulting in MAYWYN’S HOPE shifting out and making contact with MCCAW MCCAW causing that greyhound to be checked.  Entering the front straight ROCK THE VILLAGE made contact with the hindquarters of AVOID DAMAGE and was checked as a consequence.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Final 431m

Even start.  BENMESSO was slow to begin.  Leading into the back straight SNOW RUNNER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost some ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight HEZA SIZE UP was momentarily tightened for racing room, checked and lost some ground.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

Even start.  JASMINE HOLLY and FOCUS ME were slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight GALWAY SUPERSTAR was tightened for racing room and hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight BIG BOY BETRO clipped the heels of GLENALLON RINGO and was momentarily hampered.  In the front straight GLENALLON RINGO shifted off the heels of PURELY PENNY and was momentarily hampered.

 

Race 5 –5th Grade 431m

Even start.  PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide in the back straight.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SNOWBALL BAZZA contacted the heels of IRISH MADE.  In the front straight SNOWBALL BAZZA contacted the heels of IRISH MADE causing IRISH MADE to be hampered.

 

Race 6 –5th Grade Heat 1 520m

Even start.  EL MUFASA was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight WHITE MARLIN was momentarily tightened for racing room, checked and lost some ground.  EL MUFASA raced wide in the back straight.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight RHYTHMIC EARNER and MALI COVEK eased.  TRENTY’S ROSE was hampered as a result of this incident.  In the run to the finish TRENTY’S ROSE and MALI COVEK bumped.

 

The greyhound MALI COVEK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Geraghty that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound RHYTHMI EARNER would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 7 –5th Grade Heat 2 520m

Even start.  Shortly after the start GOLD ZIVA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost some ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight BLACK COBIA and MAYWYN’S COPY bumped.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING BEAUTY checked off the heels of MAYWYN’S COPY, was hampered and lost ground.  In the front straight approaching the winning post READY MADE SIZE turned its head and made muzzle contact with MAURY SPIRIT.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound READY MADE SIZE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

The greyhound BLACK COBIA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind calf muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SOCIAL DANCER and FULL OF ATTITUDE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SPRING RICKY, HEZ SO FAST and TRAP MAN were hampered as a result of this incident.  Leading into the back straight MAYWYN ZILCH checked off the heels of ROCKY BE GOOD and lost ground.  TRAP MAN pulled up in the back straight and failed to finish.  HEZ SO FAST raced wide in the back straight.  Leaving the back straight FULL OF ATTITUDE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight FULL OF ATTITUDE checked off the heels of LA MADRINA and was hampered.

 

The greyhound TRAP MAN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start DOOLEY’S SPRITE, COOL CREDIT and SPRING RAYMOND raced tight resulting in all 3 greyhounds being checked and to lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight RAMBO ROCK and SPRING RAYMOND raced tight.  Entering the back straight BONNIE WINSLOW checked off the heels of COOL CREDIT, checked and lost ground.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

Even start.  Shortly after the start SWIFT TIGER, SPRING DODGER and MY PEN LI all raced tight.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SWIFT TIGER checked off the heels of WILDASH TAPPER and was checked.  Shortly after SWIFT TIGER and SPRING DODGER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and losing considerable ground.  Leaving the back straight HER STORY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
