The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

FERNLEE STAR was slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn GO FOR HOME was tightened for room and lost its position.  CYNO CANDY was checked off the heels of SNOW RUNNER and lost ground.  Approaching the back turn GO FOR HOME shifted in tightening the running of FERNLEE STAR resulting in FERNLEE STAR losing ground.  CYNO CANDY and JAYMIE’S REVENGE raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 431m

SHE MAYWYN and COUTA GODDESS were best to begin.  SPRING BLONDE was slowest.  Into the 1st turn SHE MAYWYN was tightened for room and lost ground.  DUSTY WAY which was following was checked.  Leaving the 1st turn SHE MAYWYN shifted in tightening RAISE ‘EM UP resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  Through the home turn RAISE ‘EM UP improved onto the heels of CYNO SPOT resulting in RAISE ‘EM UP being checked and shifted out forcing DUSTY WAY wider on the track.  Over the concluding stages RAISE ‘EM UP and SPRING BLONDE bumped several times.  SPRING BLONDE, DODGY DANCER and PROMISES BLUE raced wide the majority.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

FAMOUS FOR FUN was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SHINTARO STAR was tightened for room and lost ground.  In the back straight SMASHNIAK MARS shifted in and made contact with SHINTARO STAR and lost ground.  TEETH GRIEF raced wide rounding the home turn and over the concluding stages.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade Heat 1 431m

CHARLIE SPRITE was best to begin.  Into the 1st turn EDGE ‘EM OUT was checked off the heels of MURSLEY BOUNCER.  ON TIGHT LINES which was following was also inconvenienced in this incident.  Approaching the home turn MURSLEY BOUNCER improved onto the heels of TOURMALINE resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  EDGE ‘EM OUT and PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 2 431m

PURELY PENNY and GUNNADOO RAIDER were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ITALIAN MAGIC and FANCY OSTI bumped resulting in FANCY OSTI being inconvenienced.  Approaching the back turn GUNNADOO RAIDER shifted in inconveniencing PROUD AS PUNCH.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 3 431m

ANNIE ELLEN and GOTTA GET UP were slow to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn ANNIE ELLEN shifted wide bumping GOTTA GET UP resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  Entering the back straight GLENALLON RINGO improved onto the heels of SUPA SMOOTH OSTI resulting in SUPA SMOOTH OSTI losing ground.  On the turn into the home straight GLENALLON RINGO checked COST A QUID resulting in COST A QUID racing wide rounding the home turn and the straight.  ANNIE ELLEN raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 520m

FASHION ADVICE was best to begin.  Shortly after GATE SLINGER, BLUE HOUDINI and SITELLA all raced tight resulting in BLUE HOUDINI and SITELLA losing their positions.  Through the 1st turn HER FAULT was checked across the heels of NEVER ENDS and lost ground.  BLUE HOUDINI and SITELLA both raced wide throughout.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade Final 431m

UP THE ATTITUDE, SPRING IT ON and SNOWBALL BAZZA were all slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn PERFECT POUT, UP THE ATTITUDE, LIL’ BIT SPARKY, SPRING RICKY and SNOWBALL BAZZA all raced tight.  Approaching the home turn PERFECT POUT put in an awkward stride, lost balance and raced wide from that point.  Straightening for the run to the finish BANK ON ME and SPRING IT ON bumped resulting in SPRING IT ON becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  UP THE ATTITUDE, SPRING RICKY and RUM RAMBLER all raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

The greyhound PERFECT POUT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 4 431m

QUE SERA was best to begin.  Shortly after MAGIC FLY HIGH and FULL OF ATTITUDE bumped, both becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Approaching the home turn MIDNIGHT HUNTER shifted in tightening the running of MAGIC FLY HIGH, resulting in MAGIC FLY HIGH losing ground.

 

Race 10 – Masters 431m

ROYAL ALBERT was slow to begin.  Shortly after there was tightening between CHARIOT’S OFFIAH, SHAYLOR JAKE, GOLDEN LOTUS and GARRANGAY DUK.  Through the 1st turn ROYAL ALBERT checked off the heels of GOLDEN LOTUS.  GARRANGAY DUK which was racing to its outside was also inconvenienced.  Leaving the 1st turn ROYAL ALBERT checked off the heels of GOLDEN LOTUS resulting in GOLDEN LOTUS losing ground and CHARIOT’S OFFIAH checked off the heels of HER’S NOT HIS and lost ground.  GARRANGAY DUK raced wide for the majority.
