GENERAL

 

The greyhound SHOOP SHOOP SONG performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.05 and is cleared all tracks up to 431m only.

 

The greyhound MR. TRANSPORTER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 4631m in a time of 25.39 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

BOGIE BEKIM and BUSH SPIRIT were best to begin with CYNO SNIP slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight FERNLEE STAR and BUSH SPIRIT collided causing BUSH SPIRIT to come out checking CYNCO MIRAGE and CYNO SNIP causing BUSH SPIRIT to falter and take no further competitive part in the event.  On the turn CYNO SNIP was wide.  In the back straight CYNO SNIP was wide.  Entering the home turn CYNO MIRAGE checked off the heels of FERNLEE STAR causing CYNO MIRAGE to check CYNO SNIP.  These 2 greyhounds raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound BUSH SPIRIT was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Final 520m

VELOCITYMYSTIC and GIFTED ANGEL were best to begin with PREPARE YOURSELF and MADE TO RAINE slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion CYNO ROAD and DEAD END collided.  On the turn out of the home straight MCCAW MCCAW was wide.  In the back straight MCCAW MCCAW was wide.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight MADE TO RAINE turned its head outwards and marred MCCAW MCCAW.  Entering the turn into the home straight MADE TO RAINE marred MCCAW MCCAW.  In the home straight MCCAW MCCAW was wide.

 

The greyhound MADE TO RAINE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 14 days.  Stewards advised trainer Ms. A O’Reilly that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

SPRING QUAYS and MAYWYN MOOLA were best to begin with MY MATE LING and VELOCITY EBONY slowly away.  In the back straight MAYWYN NEVER was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight MAYWYN MOOLA and VELOCITY EBONY collided with SPRING QUAYS checking off the heels of ALOTA AMY.  In the home straight MAYWYN NEVER was wide.

 

Race 4 – Novice 520m

CUPPA TEA KIWI was best to begin with MY GOLLY MOLLY slowly away.  Soon after the start VELOCITY SAXA shifted outwards checking ALPHA PLUTO.  Entering the turn out of the home straight CYNO BIRD, KINLOCH BEACH and HESA BIRD all collided.  Entering the turn ALPHA PLUTO and BY GOLLY MOLLY collided.  In the back straight BY GOLLY MOLLY was wide.  In the home straight ALPHA PLUTO was wide.

 

Race 5 –5th Grade 431m

LONG LONG LOGAN and LAKODA DAWN were best to begin with LIL’ BIT SPARKY slowly away.  Soon after the start KING SIZED and KING ELLIOT collided.  Entering the back straight      KING SIZED checked off the heels of KING ELLIOT.  In the back straight LIL’ BIT SPARKY was wide.  Entering the top turn HOPPING HOUDINI checked off the heels of WHATA NICE SIZE.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 520m

RICH ‘N’ WILD was best to begin with FASHION ADVICE and SUPER SOOK slowly away.  Soon after the start FASHION ADVICE and SUPER SOOK collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight MAYWYN’S YING and DOUBLE STORM collided causing DOUBLE STORM to fall with checking SUPER SOOK causing that greyhound to fall.  In the back straight MAYWYN WILL WIN was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight FASHION ADVICE and MAYWYN WILL WIN collided.  In the home straight MAYWYN WILLWIN was wide.

 

The greyhound FASHION ADVICE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SUPER SOOK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound DOUBLE STORM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 520m

TRANSMEDIA was best to begin with PARCHMENT and SUNNYSIDE JAY slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion SUNNYSIDE JAY and PARCHMENT collided.  On the turn out of the home straight AGRO’S GUN eased and took no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight SUITE ALEXIS was wide.  In the home straight TRANSMEDIA and SUNNYSIDE JAY were wide.  Approaching the finishing line PARCHMENT and SIDBO collided.

 

The greyhound AGROS’ GUN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m

FEARLESS DUK was best to begin with ARABIAN MELODY and MAGIC FLY HIGH slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight HEZ SO FAST moved out checking MAYWYN ZILCH and LONESOME DUK causing LONESOME DUK to race wide in the back straight.  In the home straight PACIFIC CHAMP was wide.

 

The greyhound LONESOME DUK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

MJAYWN’S COPY was best to begin with KIKEM SPRINGER slowly away.  Soon after the start DOWN THEY CAME shifted out and collided with KIKEM SPRINGER causing KIKEM SPRINGER to falter.  On the turn out of the home straight SITELLA and PRATER’S PROBLEM collided.  In the back straight DOWN THEY CAME was wide.  In the home straight RED RIER ROSE and GORILLA EYES collided.

 

The greyhound GORILLA EYES was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

BAGO BETSY and KAMILAROI DUK were best to begin with SHOW BOUND slowly away.  Soon after the start OKA’S ANGEL and FARMOR MAYHEM collided causing OKA’S ANGEL to drop back checking SPRING BEAUTY.  In the back straight BAGO BETSY was wide.  Entering the home straight OKA’S ANGEL checked off the heels of FARMOR MAYHEM causing FARMOR MAYHEM to race wide in the home straight.
