The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

SNOW RUNNER was best to begin.  HEZA SIZE UP and LADY STARGAZER bumped shortly after the start.  Approaching the 1st turn after the start LADY STARGAZER, HEZA SIZE UP, GUY FAWKES and COSMIC LAPTOP all bumped, resulting in GUY FAWKES and COSMIC LAPTOP losing some ground.  LADY STARGAZER and GUY FAWKES bumped on the turn into the back straight.  Shortly after LADY STARGAZER checked off the heels of HARA’S BRACELET and lost ground.  COSMIC LAPTOP checked off the heels of SNOW RUNNER and lost some ground entering the back straight.  MISTER DEBONAIR checked off the heels of HEZA SIZE UP approaching the turn out of the back straight, resulting in MISTER DEBONAIR losing ground back onto COSMIC LAPTOP.  GUY FAWKES checked off the heels of COSMIC LAPTOP on the turn out of the back straight resulting in GUY FAWKES and COSMIC LAPTOP losing considerable ground.  LADY STARGAZER checked off the heels of HARA’S BRACELET and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.  COSMIC LAPTOP and HARA’S BRACELET bumped prior to turning out of the back straight.  HEZA SIZE UP raced wide into the back straight.

 

The greyhound COSMIC LAPTOP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GUY FAWKES was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 520m

GIFTED ANGEL and PENNYLESS were best to begin.  HARA’S WHOSH checked off the heels of MY NAME’S JEFF and lost ground shortly after the start causing some inconvenience to KAMIKAZE TURTLE.  LEGAL FANTASY and ROCK THE VILLAGE bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in ROCK THE VILLAGE losing some ground, bumping MY NAME’S JEFF.  MY NAME’S JEFF checked across the heels of LEGAL FANTASY after turning out of the front straight.  ROCK THE VILLAGE and MY NAME’S JEFF raced wide in the back straight.  LUNA SEA checked across the heels of PENNYLESS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ROCK THE VILLAGE and MY NAME’S JEFF raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 3 – Maiden 520m

Even start with BEKIM REBEL slow to begin.  RAISE ‘EM UP shifted in from a wide position shortly after the start bumping MCCAW MCCAW causing that greyhound to lose ground.  RAISE ‘EM UP continued to shift in bumping SPRING BLONDE.  SPRING BLONDE and MCCAW MCCAW bumped shortly after the start resulting in MCCAW MCCAW losing some ground.  SPRING BLONDE checked off the heels of RAISE ‘EM UP and lost ground prior to turning out of the front straight.  TIBETAN DREAM checked off the heels of PARTY VILLAGE on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  MCCAW MCCAW raced wide on the turn into the back straight.  SPRING BLONDE raced wide in the back straight.  BEKIM REBEL shifted out on the turn into the home straight forcing MCCAW MCCAW to race wide.  SPRING BLONDE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 3/4th Grade 431m

FEARLESS DUK was best to begin.  SPRING MILLIE was slow to begin.  ALEEAH JET and MR. TRANSPORTER bumped shortly after the start.  LONESOME DUK checked off the heels of FEARLESS DUK and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight.  MR. TRANSPORTER and MAYWYN ZILCH bumped just prior to the finish line resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  SPRING MILLIE raced wide into the back straight.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. D Huddleston that the greyhound MR. TRANSPORTER would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

 

Race 5 – Novice 520m

Even start.  KAR BLU was tightened for racing room between RED RIVER ROSE and LEGACY CHIEF shortly after the start.  KAR BLU lost ground as a result.  RED RIVER ROSE shifted out shortly after the start and GLENALLON ZULU shifted in resulting in SHINTARO STAR, BY GOLLY MOLLY and LEGACY CHIEF, being tightened and losing ground.  BY GOLLY MOLLY and SHINTARO STAR bumped in the front straight resulting in BY GOLLY MOLLY becoming unbalanced.  GLENALLON ZULU checked off the heels of ARABELLA and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  SHINTARO STAR and LEGACY CHIEF bumped heavily on the turn out of the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  KAR BLU suffered some inconvenience as a result of the incident and raced wide causing BY GOLLY MOLLY to race wide.  LEGACY CHIEF checked off the heels of BY GOLLY MOLLY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  LEGACY CHIEF checked off the heels of SHINTARO STAR and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  KAR BLU raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound LEGACY CHIEF was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start.  HURRICANE CHANCE and HER FAULT bumped shortly after the start.  APATITE, DOWN THEY CAME and GOOD GIRL JANICE raced tight in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  DOWN THEY CAME checked off the heels of GOOD GIRL JANICE and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in DOWN THEY CAME and APATITE colliding causing interference to OUR CHALLENGE, HER FAULT and HURRICANE CHANCE.  PROUD AS PUNCH also suffered interference as a result of this incident.  HER FAULT, HURRICANE CHANCE and PROUD AS PUNCH bumped heavily approaching the turn into the back straight, resulting in these 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  HER FAULT and HURRICANE CHANCE bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to OUR CHALLENGE.  OUR CHALLENGE raced wide in the back straight.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 520m

TRANSMEDIA was best to begin.  BLUE HOUDINI and HOUDINI HI bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground.  TRANSMEDIA checked off the heels of KLOEIS PRIDE and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in interference to SPRING SHANGHAI.  Shortly after KLOEIS PRIDE checked off the heels of ARABIAN MELODY and lost ground.  TRANSMEDIA and BLUE HOUDINI bumped approaching the turn into the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground, causing TRANSMEDIA to race wide.  SPRING SHANGHAI checked off the heels of KLOEIS PRIDE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Even start with VEGAS BOUND and DOUBLE STORM marginally slow to begin.  TARKS BLACK ROSE shifted out shortly after the start checking MOCHA LATTE.  MAYWYN’S COPY was tightened for racing room and lost some ground shortly after the start.  MAYWYN WILL WIN and ROCKY BE GOOD bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  TARKS BLACK ROSE shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping GARRANGAY DUK causing that greyhound to lose ground.  TARKS BLACK ROSE continued to shift out bumping DOUBLE STORM.  MOCHA LATTE and VEGAS BOUND were forced to race wide as a result of this incident. MAYWYN WILL WIN and ROCKY BE GOOD bumped approaching the turn into the back straight. MAYWYN WILL WIN raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

LONG LONG LOGAN was best to begin.  ALOTA AMY was slow to begin.  PEBBLE BAY and WHATA NICE SIZE bumped shortly after the start resulting in PEBBLE BAY becoming unbalanced, shifting out and bumped ALOTA AMY.  WHATA NICE SIZE shifted in approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in WHATA NICE SIZE bumping heavily into the running rail causing that greyhound to lose considerable ground.  PEBBLE BAY shifted in on the turn into the back straight checking WHATA NICE SIZE who became unbalanced and shifted out bumping ALOTA AMY.  Both ALOTA AMY and WHATA NICE SIZE lost ground as a result.  ALOTA AMY checked off the heels of WHATA NICE SIZE and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  GRAVITY WOLF raced wide into the back straight.

 

The greyhound WHATA NICE SIZE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

EL MALAMUTE and BOOTY BEACH were best to begin.  SPRITELY CHARM jumped awkwardly as the start was effected.  MARLO GOOD and COSMIC REVENGE bumped shortly after the start.  EL MALAMUTE crossed from a wide position approaching the 1st turn after the start tightening MISTER SISTER in onto COSMIC REVENGE, onto MARLO GOOD, onto PURELY PENNY resulting in those greyhounds racing very tightly with COSMIC REVENGE losing ground.  SPRITELY CHARM shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening MISTER SISTER onto COSMIC REVENGE, resulting in MISTER SISTER falling with interference to MARLO GOOD and COSMIC REVENGE losing considerable ground.  SPRITELY CHARM checked off the heels of HARA’SANNIE and lost ground entering the back straight.  COSMIC REVENGE raced wide in the home straight.  PURELY PENNY and MARLO GOOD bumped just prior to the finish line resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.

 

The greyhound MISTER SISTER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind and was humanely euthanised.
