7 Crisis Averted – Leaving the 200m, turned its head inwards towards another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative C Wendt regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

6 Goldstar Blondie – Leaving the 100m, turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off hind foot and was subsequently stood down for 3 days. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative B Evans regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury – 3 day stand down at Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

1 Goldstar Friday – Leaving the 100m, eased and turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. Failed to complete the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative M Houtos regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
