Race 1 – LADBROKES FLYING AMY CLASSIC (G1) Heat 2 OPEN 520m |
Zipping Dekkers – turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another greyhound when rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left shoulder with a 10 day stand down period imposed. Stewards spoke with kennel representative John Dart regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. After considering all available evidence Stewards imposed a penalty on the greyhound for Marring. This is the greyhounds first offence and therefore is stood down from racing at Q2 Parklands for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory stewards trial prior to racing. |
