The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 407m

MARINA’S DOLL and MISS SALLY FITZ were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MA MEERKAT and STAR ROSA bumped.  Near the 630m boxes HALFA shifted out and checked PURPLE MIST causing both greyhounds to lose ground.    PURPLE MIST shifted out and checked FITZROY RISING and MISS SALLY FITZ.  On the home turn FITZROY RISING shifted out and checked MISS SALLY FITZ.  PURPLE MIST, FITZROY RISING and MISS SALLY FITZ all lost ground on the home turn.

 

Race 2 – Novice 407m

Even start, near the catching pen JUSTINE BENZ shifted in and checked DIXIE FERNANDO causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Near the 630m boxes JUSTINE BENZ shifted out and checked GENTLE JOAN, causing GENTLE JOAN to lose ground.  WICKED ELF and OBLIVION raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade Heat 1

Shortly after the start MARINA’S PRINCE shifted in sharply and checked SPRITELY JOKEN causing it to fall.  Near the 630m boxes VELOCITY BREEZE ran onto the heels of DUSTY WINSLOW and lost ground.

 

SPRITELY JOKEN was vet checked and no apparent injury was found.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade Heat 2 407m

SHAYLOR TAMMY was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen TRUE MAGIC shifted out and checked HE’S OUR MAN causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  NELLIE’S JOKER raced wide from the 630m boxes until the finish line.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 3 407m

COOL MILLION was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen LUCKY AS EL shifted out and checked SHAYLOR BACARDI causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  VELOCITY PEARL raced wide from the 630m boxes.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 510m

Even start. On the first turn MADE TO ORDER shifted out wide and checked GIGGLING PANTHER causing GIGGLING PANTHER to lose ground.  Near the catching pen VELOCITY LOU shifted out and forced ICKLE PICKLE wide on the track DACKENBAH ROAD commenced to lose ground from the 630m boxes until the finish line.  Trainer Les Wisener has a warning imposed on DACKENBAH ROAD for failing to pursue.

 

DACKENBAH ROAD was vet checked but no apparent injury was found.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 407m

LEMAITRE raced wide throughout the race.  No other racing incidents to report.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade final 407m

Shortly after the start MAUREENS MAGIC shifted out and checked COSMIC WATERS.  SPRING GIFT shifted out and checked with THRILLA MOMENT causing both greyhounds to check and lose ground.  On the home turn COSMIC WATERS raced onto the heels SPRING GIFT causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the home straight FLOW BLACK shifted inwards and checked BRAZEN SPEED causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 4 407m

BONNIE WINSLOW and MAYWYN’S OCKER were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SAVANNAH’S BOY shifted outwards and bumped TARAWI MARINA.  SAVANNAH’S BOY raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 5 407m

REHAB and HEFFNER were slow to begin.  HEFFNER began to lose ground in the back straight. LIVY’S BEACH raced wide throughout the race.

 

HEFFNER was vet checked and no apparent injury was found.
