GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 407m

Shortly after the start SALT LAKE CITY shifted in and checked DEAR DAPHNEY causing DEAR DAPHNEY to lose ground.  Near the catching pen PRIVATE JO shifted out and checked PURPLE MIST.  Near the 630m boxes SALT LAKE CITY crossed PRIVATE JO.  On the home turn OVERDRIVE SPEED shifted out and checked DEAR DAPHNEY. PRIVATE JO finished the race tailed off and was vet checked.

 

PRIVATE JO was vet checked and was found to have sustained an injured hip and was suspended for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 407m

STAR ROSA was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen STAR ROSA ran onto the heels of JOE BENZ. FITZROY RISING raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 3 – Novice 407m

TARAWI MAX, MARINA’S DOLL and RED GUN were all slow to begin.  Near the catching pen PEEWEE JEANETTE shifted out and checked heavily with RED GUN and MEERVIC causing MEERVIC to lose ground and finish the race tailed off.

 

MEERVIC was vet checked and was found to have sustained an off side shoulder injury.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 407m

NELLIE’S JOKER and BONNIE WINSLOW were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SATIN IDOL shifted in and checked ICKLE PICKLE. NELLIE’S JOKER raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade 407m

MISS WORLDWIDE, LACK OF PATIENCE and KOTA LIZ were all slow to begin.  No other incidents to report.

 

Race 6 – 3/4th Grade 407m

FLOW BLACK was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start TARAWI APRIL shifted in and checked MAUREENS MAGIC. COSMIC EYE raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 510m

ELLIE POPPINS was slow to begin.  On the first turn SWEET WILLOW shifted out and checked GOTCHA CLASS causing it to shift out and check GIGGLING PANTHER causing all these greyhounds to lose ground.  VELOCITY LOU raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 407m

TRUE MAGIC was slow to begin. Shortly after the start CLASSIFY shifted in and checked FIVE FAT LADIES. Near the 630m boxes WHITELION FEVER began to lose ground on its own accord and failed to finish the race. IL DESTRUCTOR and KYAMMY both raced wide throughout the race.

 

WHITELION FEVER was vet checked and was found to have sustained a broken off hind hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 407m

KOTA MAY was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start VALENTINE RAY shifted out and checked MARINA’S PRINCE. Near the 630m boxes JUST A CHEQUE raced onto the heels of VALENTINE RAY and lost ground.

 

MARINA’S PRINCE was vet checked and was found to have sustained cuts on the hind leg and was suspended for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 407m

SPRING RAVEN, SHAYLOR TAMMY and PAR DE FIR were all slow to begin. Near the catching pen PAR DE FIR shifted out and checked TARAWI GRACE. SHAYLOR TAMMY raced wide throughout the race.

 

SPRING RAVEN was vet checked and was found to have sustained an off hind muscle injury and was suspended for a period of 21 days.
