The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 5             HARDY CATCH                   Injured in running, near side hip, 30 days

 

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 407m

MAGIC WISP and OH THE SHAME were slow to begin.  Near the catching pen HANSON TANGO shifted in and crossed COMING IN HOT causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  On the home turn MAGIC WISP raced onto the heels of COMING IN HOT and lost ground.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 407m

Shortly after the start SOBER MAGGIE shifted in and checked NICKO FERNANDO and UNO THE DEAL.  FITZROY RISING raced wide throughout the race.  MISS SALLY FITZ raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

 

Race 3 – Novice 407m

SUPERSONIC SHAK, DAPPER FLASH and PENNIE’S FANTASY were all slow to begin.  PENNIE’S FANTASY raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 510m

BONNIE WINSLOW was slow to begin.  FAMOR SENORITA shifted out wide and stopped near the catching pen causing DEAR DAPHNEY to be checked heavily and lose ground.

 

Trainer Wayne Scott had a warning imposed on his greyhound FARMOR SENORITA for stopping near the catching pen.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade Heat 1 407m

 HARDY CATCH was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HARDY CATCH failed to stretch out and failed to finish the race.

 

HARDY CATCH was vet checked and was found to have sustained a hip injury and was suspended for a period of 30 days.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade Heat 2 407m

MR WHITE, FARMOR SUPPORT and BELLA BOO BOO were all slow to begin.  SPRING GIFT raced wide throughout the race. SWEET WILLOW raced extremely wide on the home turn.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade Heat 3 407m

Even start.  Shortly after the start IL DESTRUCTOR shifted out and checked SHAYLOR BACARDI and FARMOR ELECTRIC.  VANICKERS and FARMOR ELECTRIC checked near the catching pen and lost ground.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade Heat 4 407m

LONG LONG TRAIN was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen PAR DE FIR shifted out and checked LONG LONG TRAIN and MARLOW LEE.

 

Trainer Natasha Ogden had a warning imposed on her greyhound MARLOW LEE  for turning its head in the home straight.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade Heat 5 407m

AGENT JAY and MIGHTY AWESOME were slow to begin.  LACK OF PATIENCE, GYMPIE FLYER and MAKE THE SWITCH checked near the catching pen.  MAKE THE SWITCH raced wide on the home turn.  AGENT JAY shifted out wide on the home turn and checked SHAYLOR TAMMY.

 

Race 10 – Best 8 407m

MISS O’NEIL was slow to begin.  MISS O’NEIL shifted in near the catching pen and checked FOCUS AND SPEED.  FLOW BACK and REFUND raced wide throughout the race.
