GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 407m

COCO BEWARE was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen FLYING CIRCUS shifted out and checked heavily with KAVA ROAD causing KAVA ROAD to lose considerable ground.  On the home turn FLYING CIRCUS shifted in and crossed LITTLE DINA and VELOCITY SHAZZ.  KAVA ROAD raced wide around the home turn.

 

Race 2 – Novice 407m

PEEWEE JEANETTE was slow to begin.  READY TO WIN and VELOCITY ECLIPSE raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 3 – 0 - 3 Wins 510m

MIGHTY AWESOME was slow to begin.  FITZROY RISING, IMA RIPPA, and DEAR DAPHNEY raced wide around the first turn.  FITZROY RISING and IMA RIPPA raced wide throughout the race.

 

OH THE SHAME was vet checked and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore bumper and was suspended for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 407m

TOPPER WEBB was slow to begin.  Leaving the catching pen TRIGGER shifted out and checked FINE PERFORMER causing FINE PERFORMER to lose ground.  SHAYLOR BACARDI raced wide throughout the race.

 

FINE PERFORMER was vet checked and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore bumper and was suspended for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 407m

OVERDRIVE SPEED was slow to begin.  Leaving the catching pens MARINA’S DOLL shifted out and forced SPRITELY JOKEN out onto JUSTINE BENZ.  Approaching the home turn OVERDRIVE SPEED checked off the heels of STAR ROSA and lost ground.

 

Race 6 – 4th Grade 407m

Start for this race was delayed by 8 minutes due to a power fault with half the lights on the track going out. Power to all lights was rectified and the race started at 8.43pm.   Clean start.  Near the catching pen SHE’S SO CLASSY shifted in and checked GUNSPEED. WHAT MAGIC raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.  GUNSPEED raced wide in the second half of the race.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 407m

 Stewards elected not to allow the previews to be conducted in this race due to the short time frame before the start of this race due to the delay in the previous race.  Only 4 minutes remained by the time greyhounds left the kennel block.  LAKODA LOCHIE and FLOW BLACK were slow to begin.  Near the catching pen BUSBY shifted out and checked TRADE IN and LAKODA LOCHIE.  In the back straight LAKODA LOCHIE raced onto the heels of REFUND.  REFUND and LAKODA LOCHIE raced wide from the catching pen.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade 510m

As the boxes opened LONG LONG TRAIN jumped up and was slow to begin.  Approaching the catching pen LONG LONG TRAIN shifted out and checked heavily with GIGGLING PANTHER causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  COSMIC EYE raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 407m

Shortly after the start TINA LEE shifted in and crossed GOLD PLATE.  Near the 630m boxes TINA LEE shifted in and crossed MACWIND causing MACWIND to lose considerable ground.  EXTREME LEVEL raced onto the heels of MACWIND and lost ground.  SHAYLOR TAMMY raced wide throughout the race. GOLD PLATED raced wide from the catching pen.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 407m

TARAWI APRIL and LIVY’S BEACH were slow to begin. TRUE MAGIC raced wide throughout the race.
