The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 407m

GENERAL CHAD and ZOEY’S FRIEND were both slow to begin.  Near the catching pen WILDASH WILDBOY shifted in and forced SPRING SMIRK onto LITTLE BUMP.  Approaching the home turn ZOEY’S FRIEND shifted out and checked GENERAL CHAD causing GENRAL CHAD to lose considerable ground.

 

Race 2 – Novice 407m

VELOCITY ECLIPSE and ROCKY BINGO were slow to begin.  VELOCITY ECLIPSE raced wide from the catching pen.  Near the catching pen AKUMA TREBLE shifted out and checked PEEWEE JEANETTE.  ROCKY BINGO raced onto the back of AKUMA TREBLE on the home turn and in the home straight. Causing ROCKY BINGO to lose ground.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 407m

FITZROY RISING, GOLD PLATED and ELLY NORA were all slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SHAYLOR CHASE shifted in and checked GOLD PLATED causing both greyhounds to check and lose ground.  GOLD PLATED raced wide from the 630m boxes.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 407m

HIGH CLASS MISS was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SOBER MAGGIE shifted in and crossed HIGH CLASS MISS causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  LAKODA MAGIC raced onto the heels of RED GUN near the catching pen.  RED GUN has broken down in the back straight and finished the race tailed off.  HIGH CLASS MISS raced wide from the catching pen.  SOBER MAGGIE shifted out and checked REDNECK BOYD in the home straight.

 

RED GUN was vet checked and was found to have sustained an injury to off fore elbow and was suspended for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 5 – 4th Grade 407m

BUSBY was slow to begin.  BUSBY and RAPTIS both raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 6 – 3/4th Grade 407m

FLOW BLACK was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start GUNSPEED and JUNIOR CHAVEZ bumped twice causing both greyhounds to check and lose ground.  In the back straight FLOW BLACK and REFUND checked in the back straight and resulted in FLOW BLACK taking a heavy fall and REFUND losing ground.  FLOW BLACK finished the race tailed off.

 

REFUND was vet checked and no apparent injury was found.

 

FLOW BLACK was vet checked and was found to have sustained bruising to the neck and was suspended for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 510m

FINE PERFORMER was slow to begin.  On the first turn EXPRESS LEVEL shifted out wide forcing HARRY BAILEY to shift out wide and check heavily with LONG LONG TRAIN and SLASHIN’ PETE.  Both LONG LONG TRAIN and SLASHIN’ PETE fell after this incident.  SWEET WILLOW and FINE PERFORMER were both inconvenienced by this incident and lost ground.  In the back straight EXPRESS LEVEL has lost ground.

 

EXPRESS LEVEL was vet checked and no apparent injury was found.

 

LONG LONG TRAIN was vet checked and no apparent injury was found.

 

SLASHIN’ PETE was vet checked and was found to have sustained a right lumber muscle and was suspended for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – RQ Young Guns Final 407m

JUMP DA GUN was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen JUMP DA GUN and WILDASH REV bumped causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 407m

CUT OUT PASS and COLLARINA were slow to begin.  Near the catching pen RUN RIOT shifted in and crossed COLLARINA causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  NELLIE’S JOKER raced extremely wide from the 630m boxes and down the home straight.

 

KOTA LIZ was a late scratching at kennelling due to trainer Neville Jackson presenting the incorrect greyhound to the races.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 407m

HANIFY’S REVENGE was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen HANIFY’S REVENGE shifted in and checked SHY LADY causing SHY LADY to lose ground.  JUSTINE BENZ brokendown in the back straight and finished the race tailed off.

 

JUSTINE BENZ was vet checked and was found to have sustained a broken off hind hock and was humanely euthanised.
