VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

 

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 407m

PENNY HARKS was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start TWELVE PLUS TWO shifted in and checked with GUN’S N ROSIE.  TWELVE PLUS TWO and VELOCITY SHAZZ both raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 2 – Novice 407m

FARMOR ANTIQUE was slow to begin.  Near the catching pens AKUMA TREBLE shifted in and checked with VELOCITY CHRIS causing both greyhounds to check and lose ground.  DIXIE FERNANDO raced wide in the early stages of the race.  VELOCITY CHRIS raced wide from the catching pen.

 

AKUMA TREBLE was vet checked and no injury was found.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 407m

Clean start. Near the catching pen FITZROY RISING shifted out and bumped BOGART BLEND causing FITZROY RISING to lose ground.  Near the 630m boxes FITXROY RISING shifted out wide again and checked SWEET WILLOW. FINE PERFORMER raced wide throughout the race.

 

FITZROY RISING was vet checked and no injury was found.

 

BOGART BLEND was vet checked and no injury was found.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 407m

DACKENBAH ROAD was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start OVERDRIVE SPEED shifted in and checked AYE SIMPLE MANNA.  DACKENBAH ROAD began to lose ground in the back straight and hs finished the race tailed off.  OVERDRIVE SPEED raced wide throughout the race.

 

DACKENBAH ROAD was vet checked and was found to have sustained and injury to the back muscle and was suspended for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 407m

TOP EARNER was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start CONRAD shifted out and checked with HALFA.  Near the catching pen PERFECT MUM shifted in and checked OH THE SHAME causing OH THE SHAME to lose ground.  OH THE SHAME lost further ground in the back straight. TOP EARNER has raced wide throughout the race.

 

OH THE SHAME was vet checked and no apparent injury was found

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 407m

SATIN IDOL was slow to begin.  VELOCITY ELLE shifted in and checked with FOCUS AND SPEED shortly after the start.  Near the catching pen CUT OUT PASS and FOCUS AND SPEED checked causing CUT OUT PASS to lose ground.  SATIN IDOL and SHE’S SO CLASSY have both raced wide throughout the race.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 407m

Clean start.  EXTREME LEVEL shifted out and checked LAKODA MAGIC causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Near the catching pen BUSBY shifted in and checked with LAKODA MAGIC causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  FLOW BLACK and SURE YOU CAN both raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

 

EXTREME LEVEL was vet checked and no injury was found.

 

LAKODA MAGIC was vet checked and no injury was found.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 407m

LAKODA LOCHIE was slow to begin.  Near the catching pen KELLER BEACH raced onto the back of DYNAMITE SPEED.  On the home turn VELOCITY ANNE shifted out and checked with LAKODA LOCHIE causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 407m

SALT LAKE CITY was slow to begin.  REDNECK BOYD raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.  PACIFIC SPRING raced wide for the final stages of the race.  VALENTINE RAY and SALT LAKE CITY bumped on the home turn

 

Race 10 – Masters 407m

KOTA LIZ and NELLIE’S JOKER were both slow to begin. NELLIE’S JOKER and GOTCHA CLASS raced wide throughout the race.
