VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 6 SHARINA BEAR Injured in running, off side shoulder, 10 days

Race 9 SAHARA DESERT Injured in running, off side wrist, 10 days

GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 380m

BELIMBA HUSTLER and LONESOME MAX were marginally slow to begin. SHOTGUN LADY checked across the heels of PEARL OF MINGELA and shifted out bumping LONESOME MAX on the turn out of the back straight. SHOTGUN LADY was put off balance and lost considerable ground as a result. SHOTGUN LADY continued to check of LONESOME MAX prior to turning into the front straight. MR. CRUSTACEAN checked across the hind quarters of RHONDA JOAN on the turn into the front straight.

Race 2 – Novice 380m

FULL THROTTLE jumped awkwardly as the start was effected. BEACH FRONT checked off DEMORIC FIT on the turn out of the back straight. SUPERSONIC SHAK checked off the heels of FULL THROTTLE after turning out of the back straight causing interference to MISTIFIDE.

Race 3 – 5^th Grade Heat 1 498m

DEBORAH ROSE was slow to begin. MINGELA COSMO, DEBORAH ROSE and DASH FOR COVER bumped on the turn into the back straight. MINGELA COSMO and DASH FOR COVER raced wide in the back straight. MINGELA COSMO raced wide into the front straight.

Race 4 – 5^th Grade Heat 2 498m

The start of the raced was delayed 0.35 minutes due to Northam Harness starting late.

POWER CELL, LISTEN and ALL BUT CENTRE were slow to begin. POWER CELL shifted out on the turn into the back straight bumping LISTEN who become unbalanced. ALL BUT CENTRE was also inconvenienced in the incident.

Race 5 – 5^th Grade 380m

The start of the race was delayed 4 minutes due to problems with the lure.

VAR MONTE CARLO was slow to begin. RHONDA’S TEARS checked off POISED TO POUNCE on the turn out of the back straight. BLUE HOUDINI and POISED TO POUNCE bumped on the turn into the front straight.

Race 6 – 5^th Grade 380m

BLONDE JUSTICE was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

SHARINA BEAR was inspected by the veterinarian after the race who reported an off shoulder injury.

Race 7 – 4/5^th Grade 380m

The start of the raced was delayed 1.40 minutes due to Northam Harness starting late.

BLACK DENIM and WILDASH MONTE were tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 8 – 4^th Grade 380m

VELOCITY KYZON was slow into stride as the start was effected. GUNNADOO DELTA checked off SAVIOUR on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to WIND TRACKER and ZIPPING MAX. GUNNADOO DELTA raced wide in the front straight.

Race 9 – Best 8 380m

MAYWYN’S MONTY and SAHARA DESERT bumped shortly after the start. SAHARA DESERT checked off CUT OUT PASS in the back straight.

SAHARA DESERT tailed off to finish last. A veterinary inspection of the dog reveled an off wrist injury.
