Race 4 Trainer Glen Olsen was fined $50 for No Catcher EUNICE LILLIAN (GAR48).
THANK YOU POP was best to begin. Shortly after the start MAGIC CHAOS and HENRY JUDGE came together. HENRY JUDGE lost ground. Approaching the top turn SEE BLUES BOY was inconvenienced when shifting out across the heels of TONI’S QUITE. MAGIC CHAOS and HENRY JUDGE which were following were also inconvenienced. Approaching the home turn TONI’S QUITE shifted in checking the running of SOPHALICIOUS which lost ground. At the home turn SEE BLUES BOY shifted out across the heels of HENRY JUDGE. Down the running HENRY JUDGE shifted out across the heels of TONI’S QUITE.
IGNORE THE NOISE and MAGIC BEAU both dwelt at the start. Shortly after the start LIBERTY LEGS and ONE FOOT BEHIND both lost ground when tightened for running between BEHM and COBBIN which was shifting in. Approaching the top turn IGNORE THE NOISE was checked after improving onto the heels of MAYWYNS PING. Soon after MAGIC BEAU shifted in checking the running of ONE FOOT BEHIND and BEHM.
Race 3 – Novice 380m
BOOTYDO was best to begin. Approaching the home turn MR. CRUSTACEAN shifted out abruptly across the heels of REBEL DICTATOR and in doing so forced DEMORIC FIT and BLUEFIRE CHALICE wide into the turn. All 3 greyhounds lost ground in this incident.
Race 4 – 4/5th
Grade 380m
HOTSHOT HERO began well Approaching the top turn GUNNADOO SECRET shifted in severely checking the running of PURE BEKIM, NANIERNA and HOTSHOT HERO. PURE BEKIM and NANIERNA both lost significant ground in this incident. EMINEM BLUE GIRL raced wide through the top turn.
Following the running of this event Stewards reviewed the patrol footage in order to ensure that no runner had been inconvenienced by the positioning of the lure as the field raced into the top turn. After reviewing the footage Stewards were satisfied that the positioning of the lure had not affected the outcome of the event and, acting under the provisions of GAR55 (1), issued the “ALL CLEAR” on the semaphored numbers.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade Heat 1 498m
BELIMBA HUSTLER and ALL BUT CENTRE both dwelt at the start. POWER CELL and ALL BUT CENTRE came together through the catching pen. POWER CELL and PACIFIC SPRING were both wide in the back straight. Approaching the top turn KEWIN UP shifted out across the heels of SUPERMAC and raced wide.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade Heat 2 498m
IMPOSING SIND began well. DEBORAH ROSE and BLACK DENIM both dwelt at the start. Shortly after the start ZIPPING CARLTON shifted out checking the running of DEBORAH ROSE. Through the catching pen ZIPPING CARLTON lost ground when tightened for running between LISTEN and MOO MOO which was shifting in. Entering the back straight DEBORAH ROSE improved onto the heels of MOO MOO. Both greyhounds were severely checked losing significant ground. BLACK DENIM was wide in the back straight. Approaching the top turn LISTEN shifted out inconveniencing the running of IMPOSING SIND and SCOTTISH CLAN. Through the top turn IMPOSING SIND and SCOTTISH CLAN were both inconvenienced when BLACK DENIM improved to the inside of those 2 greyhounds.
The greyhound MOO MOO was vetted and no abnormalities were revealed.
Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 380m
SCARLETT’S DEVIL was best to begin. Approaching the top turn POISED TO POUNCE was severely checked when tightened for running between GUNNADOO RACER and BLUE STITCH which was shifting in. POISED TO POUNCE lost significant ground and raced wide. On straightening POISED TO POUNCE improved onto the heels of GUMLOW STAR. Both greyhounds were severely checked.
The greyhound POISED TO POUNCE was vetted and no abnormalities were revealed.
Race 8 – Best 8 380m
SEE SENORA and ARLANDRIA came together at the home turn. ARLANDRIA became unbalanced. SAHARA DESERT was wide for the majority of the event.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 380m
BLACK PEPPERCORN was slowly away. Through the back straight ELLY NORA and JUSTA BEAUTY both lost ground when tightened for running between EBONY SPECIAL and SMYLEE SERENADE both of which were shifting ground. BLACK PEPPERCORN which was following was also inconvenienced. Approaching the top turn EBONY SPECIAL and SMYLEE SERENADE were racing tight when SMYLEE SERENADE became awkward in its action and shifted wide abruptly. Soon after SMILEY FEE FEE became unbalanced and shifted wide after improving onto the heels of EBONY SPECIAL.
The greyhound SMYLEE SERENADE was vetted and no abnormalities were revealed.
The greyhound SMILEY FEE FEE was vetted and no abnormalities were revealed. Trainer Ms. R Goodwin was advised that a warning would be placed on the greyhound SMILEY FEE FEE for performance bordering on unsatisfactory.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 380m
TOKALON HOTSHOT dwelt at the start. Shortly after the start PRINCE OF DOOM shifted in inconveniencing the running of VERY SPRITELY. Approaching the top turn PRINCE OF DOOM shifted in severely checking the running of BUCKLED and VERY SPRITELY both of which lost significant ground. Through the top turn PRINCE OF DOOM was inconvenienced when shifting in across the heels of RHONDA’S TEARS.
