The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 380m

Even start with MAGIC BEAU, SEE BLUES BOY, and WALLABY JACK marginally slow to begin. 

CORNELIA BREE checked off CHAOTIC MAGIC and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to BEHM.  IGNORE THE PAIN and BARNIE BOUCHEAU bumped in the back straight.  SEE BLUES BOY raced on to the hindquarters of BARNIE BOUCHEAU on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.  WALLABY JACK raced wide into the home straight.

 

Stewards questioned the racing manners of BEHM in the front straight.  Subsequently acting under the provisions of GAR 69A BEHM was stood down from racing for a period of three months and a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (second offence).

 

Race 2 – Maiden 380m

MAYWYNS PING was the best to begin.  HENRY JUDGE was slow to begin.  OSCAR TANGO and COOL REALITY bumped in the front straight resulting in COOL REALITY checking off the heels of OSCAR TANGO resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  SOPHALICIOUS checked off OSCAR TANGO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  OSCAR TANGO was tightened for racing room between ONE FOOT BEHIND and COOL REALITY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 3 – Novice 380m

THANK YOU POP was the best to begin.  WILDASH WHISPER checked off MIDNIGHT EDITION and lost ground in the back straight.  MAYWYN OODLES raced wide into the home straight.

Stewards reviewed the film of the race prior to all clear in relation to the position of the lure in the back straight. Stewards were of the opinion that no greyhound was disadvantaged or advantaged as a result.

 

Race 4 – 0 – 3 Wins 498m

Even start with SOMETHING BAD slow to begin.  LAID BACK LAD and BUCKAROO SUE bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to BUCKAROO SUE.  BEACH FRONT bumped SOMETHING BAD on the turn into the back straight resulting in SOMETHING BAD checking across the heels of SCOTTISH CLAN.  EBONY SPECIAL checked across the heels of MISS DENMARK entering the back straight.  EBONY SPECIAL checked off SCOTTISH CLAS and lost ground in the back straight.  MISS DENMARK, EBONY SPECIAL and EXPRESS PASS raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 5 – Best 8 380m

Even start with ALL BUT CENTRE slow to begin.  SAHARA DESERT knuckled over and lost ground shortly after the start.  SAHARA DESERT checked off DIVVY UP and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to PHOTO BOOTH and MAYWYNS MARTY.  MAYWYNS MARTY checked off the heels of PHOTO BOOTH and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.  SAHARA DESERT checked across the heels of PHOTO BOOTH and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.  MAYWYNS MARTY raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 4th Grade 380m

Even start.  EMINEM BLUE GIRL and GUERILLA bumped as the start was effected resulting in EMINEM BLUE GIRL losing ground.  BLUE HOUDINI and GUNNADOO SECRET bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  WILLIAM MAC checked off SCARLETT’S DEVIL and lost ground in the back straight.  EUNICE LILLIAN checked off SCARLETT’S DEVIL and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to WILLIAM MAC and GUNNADOO SECRET.  EMINEM BLUE GIRL raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 4th Grade 380m

BALZAREEN was the best to begin.  VELOCITY KYZON was slow into stride as the start was effected.  CUT OUT PASS checked off BALZAREEN and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  MINGELA COSMO raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 498m

LISTEN was the best to begin.  BLACK DENIM was slow to begin.  KEWIN UP crossed shortly after the start tightening ZIPPING CARLTON on to BLACK DENIM on to LISTEN on to MR. HOPPINS resulting in all these greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  KEWIN UP checked off SCORPIO JAY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to SUPERMAC.  KEWIN UP raced wide into and down the home straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 380m

The start of the race was delayed 24 minutes due to problems with the lure.

 

BRIGHT REBEL was the best to begin with BLUEFIRE CHALICE and BIG BAD TOM slow to begin.  KENNY’S AROMA checked off BRIGHT REBEL shortly after the start.  KENNY’S AROMA checked off BRIGHT REBEL and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to MR. CRUSTACEAN.  BLUEFIRE CHALICE lost ground after turning out of the back straight appearing injured.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 380m

The starting time of the race was rescheduled to 10:34 pm.

 

SMILEY FEE FEE was the best to begin.  GREYSTOKE BOY checked off ODD SOX and lost ground shortly after the start.  BELIMBA HUSTLER checked off SLEEPY MIME and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SLEEPY MIME and MISS GRAND THEFT bumped heavily on the turn into the front straight resulting in MISS GRAND THEFT losing ground.  SLEEPY MIME and ODD SOX bumped entering the home straight.

 

Race 11 5th Grade 380m

The starting time of the race was rescheduled to 10:49 pm

 

Even start.  JUST A BEAUTY was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  COSMIC FREEZE crossed from a wide position in the back straight tightening DEBORAH ROSE on to WIND TRACKER resulting in both of these greyhounds losing ground.  WIND TRACKER and DEBOLRAH ROSE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
