GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 380m

CHAOTIC MAGIC and ONE FOOT BEHIND both began well.  ZAYRAH, JUST LOLA and DAY DRINKING were all slowly into stride.  Shortly after the start JUST LOLA and DAY DRINKING came together heavily.  JUST LOLA lost ground.  Approaching the top turn OCTAVIAN was checked after improving onto the heels of KICKA TIN.  As a result OCTAVIAN shifted out abruptly inconveniencing the running of TONI’S QUITE and DAY DRINKING. KICKA TIN was wide at the home turn.

 

The greyhound JUST LOLA was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.  Trainer’s Representative Ms. R Goodwin was advised that a warning would be placed on the greyhound JUST LOLA for performance bordering on unsatisfactory.

 

Race 2 – Novice 380m

RHONDA JOAN was best to begin.  JACOBITE PHANTOM, REBEL DICTATOR and HI HOMBRE were all slowly into stride. Approaching the top turn SMART CHIC was checked after improving onto the heels of RHONDA JOAN.  JACOBITE PHANTOM and FREDRIK which were following were also inconvenienced and lost ground. Through the top turn SMART CHIC shifted out abruptly across the running of FREDRIK both greyhounds were checked and raced wide.  SMART CHIC was wide at the home turn.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 380m

RHONDA’S TEARS was best to begin.  Through the back straight TRU ZOOMER lost ground when tightened for running between WILDASH PLUMBOB and HANK SNOW which was shifting in.  HANK SNOW was also inconvenienced.  KEWIN UP and BRIGHT REBEL came together heavily at the top turn.  Both greyhounds were inconvenienced.  Through the home turn KEWIN UP shifted out abruptly across the running of BRIGHT REBEL which was inconvenienced.  KEWIN UP was wide on straightening.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 380m

OUR MADAM and THANK YOU POP both began well.  BELIMBA HUSTLER and TOP END TORQUE were both slowly into stride.  Through the back straight OUR MADAM lost ground when tightened for running between HOTSHOT HERO and THANK YOU POP which was shifting in.  Approaching the top turn BLUE FIRE CHALICE and THANK YOU POP came together heavily.  THANK YOU POP became unbalanced and fell taking no further competitive part in the event.  HOTSHOT HERO which was following was also severely checked losing significant ground.  EARLY SHOW and TOP END TORQUE were also inconvenienced in this incident.  TOP END TORQUE raced wide as a result.

 

The greyhound THANK YOU POP was vetted post-race and no abnormalities were revealed.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 380m

JACK SPRITE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start COBBIN lost ground when tightened between runners.  Through the back straight SMILEY FEE FEE shifted in onto the running of BLACK DENIM which was inconvenienced.  Approaching the top turn WHERE’S BLOCKER shifted in checking the running of SMILEY FEE FEE which lost ground.  Soon after SMILEY FEE FEE shifted out onto the running of JACK SPRITE which was severely checked losing significant ground.  BUCKLED, COBBIN and PRINCE OF DOOM were also inconvenienced in this incident.  PRINCE OF DOOM raced wide as a result.  BLACK DENIM was wide at the home turn.

 

Race 6 – 4th Grade 380m

ON DECK was best to begin.  Shortly after the start GUNNADOO SECRET and BLUE HOUDINI were both inconvenienced when tightened for running to the inside of PACIFIC SPRING which was shifting in.  Through the top turn FROM THE TAP shifted in severely checking the running of RAZOR ROSE which lost significant ground.  PACIFIC SPRING raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

Race 7 – RQ Young Guns Final Open 498m

PATJACK LOMAR was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SNEAKIN’ ROUND and CAPTAIN LONESTAR both lost ground when tightened between runners.  ELUSIVE DIVA lost ground when tightened for running through the catching pen.  Entering the back straight PATJACK LOMAR shifted in severely checking the running of MAYWYN MACEY.  SCORPIO JAY and COOL REALITY were also inconvenienced.  Through the back straight COOL REALITY checked off the heels of SNEAKIN’ ROUND.  Approaching the top turn SCORPIO JAY was checked after improving onto the heels of MAYWYN MACEY.  Through the top turn ELUSIVE DIVA shifted in severely checking the running of CAPTAIN LONESTAR.  MAYWYN MACEY was also inconvenienced.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 380m

BOOTYDO and COOL SPRITE both began well.  ALL BUT CENTRE was slowly away.  Through the back straight COOL SPRITE lost ground when tightened between runners.  Approaching the top turn FULL BLOWN was severely tightened between runners losing significant ground.  Soon after DIVVY UP lost ground when tightened for running between ALL BUT CENTRE and BLUE STITCH which was shifting in.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 498m

ROCKET’S MAGIC and LITTLE TRISH both began well.  LONESOME MAX dwelt at the start.  Leaving the catching pen RAILROAD ROCKET was severely checked when tightened for running to the inside of DEBORAH ROSE which was shifting in.  Soon after DEBORAH ROSE lost ground when checked off the heels of LISTEN.  GUNNADOO DELTA was wide through the back straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 380m

WIND TRACKER was best to begin.  WINSOME TOMMY dwelt at the start.  Approaching the top turn PURE BEKIM lost significant ground when severely tightened for running between ODD SOX and SLEEPY MIME.  WINSOME TOMMY, NANIERNA and VELOCITY KYZON which were following were also checked.  Soon after SLEEPY MIME was severely checked when tightened for running between ODD SOX and FEAR ANDY which was shifting in.  WIND TRACKER was wide at the top turn. WIND TRACKER and PURE BEKIM were both wide at the home turn.
