GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 380m

CHAOTIC MAGIC was the best to begin.  BON ECHO was slow to begin.  NORTHERN MAGIC and VELOCITY HEZZA bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.

 

Race 2 – Novice 380m

Even start.  ZOEY’S FRIEND was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  MAYWYN MACEY checked off the heels of WHAT’S FOREVER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to LONESOME MAX and ZOEY’S FRIEND.  ASA ENSEE FLY raced on to the hind quarters of NASRI prior to turning into the front straight resulting in NASRI losing ground back through the field causing interference to MAYWYN MACEY, LONESOME MAX and ZOEY’S FRIEND.  NASRI was inspected by the veterinarian after the race.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 380m

FREDERICK was the best to begin.  RHONDA JOAN raced on to the heels of BRILLIANT EMMA on the turn out of the back straight resulting in BRILLIANT EMMA losing ground back through the field causing interference to RHONDA JOAN, HI HOMBRE and ZIPPING BUBBA.

 

 

Race 4 – 4/5th Grade 380m

Even start with VERY SPRITELY and ZIPPING CARLTON marginally slow to begin.  VERY SPRITELY checked off ON DECK and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BRING REBEL checked off the heels of AMY’S ELITE and become unbalanced and bumping ON DECK on the turn into the front straight.  ON DECK and AMY’S ELITE bumped in the front straight.

 

Stewards had some concerns in relation to the racing manners of ON DECK in particular the front straight.  The benefit of a grave doubt was afforded.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade 498m

Even start with ODD SOX slow to begin.  ODD SOX and VELOCITY KYZON bumped on the turn into the back straight.  TONI’S QUITE was tightened for racing room and lost ground entering the back straight.  MID WESTERN GIRL and VELOCITY KYZON bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in VELOCITY KYZON becoming unbalanced.

 

Race 6 – 3/4th Grade 380m

Even start with SNEAKIN’ ROUND and MAYWYN’S ACE slow to begin.  SNEAKIN’ ROUND checked off BOOTYDO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to CAPTAIN LONESTAR and GUNNADOO SECRET.  RAZOR ROSE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 1/2nd Grade 380m

Even start.  ALL BUT CENTRE was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  REECY GOGOLAC raced wide into the front straight.  REECY GOGOLAC was inspected by the veterinarian after the race after being injured in the catching pen.

 

Race 8 – RQ Young Guns Final 380m

Even start.  THANK YOU POP and WILDASH REV bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in THANK YOU POP becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 380m

WILDASH DUKE was the best to begin.  TREADSTONE CAIN and MISTIFIDE were slow to begin.  BUCKAROO SUE checked off BALZAREEN and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  TREADSTONE CAIN checked off BALZAREEN and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 380m

Even start with BELIMBA HUSTLER slow to begin.  BEACH FRONT checked off the heels of BOLD DEBREE on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 11 – 5th Grade 380m

VELOCITY ONO was the best to begin.  COLLARINA checked off VELOCITY ONO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to RHONDA’S TEARS.  VELOCITY ONO checked off COBBIN and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.

 

Race 12 – 5th Grade Final 380m

Even start.  SNAKE PROOF was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to PRIVATE TALK.  BLACK DENIM checked off PURE BEKIM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  PURE BEKIM raced wide in the home straight.

 

General

Stewards opened an inquiry into an incident in front of the administration office on Tuesday 3 November, 2015 at approximately 8.35pm.

 

Evidence was taken from licencees H. Ardle, D. St Clair and R. Black in relation to the conduct of the licencees.  After hearing evidence from the licencees concerned and from Stewards observations Mr. St Clair was charged under the provisions of GAR 86(q) for detrimental conduct.  The specifics of the charge being that Mr. St Clair acted in a manner which the Stewards deemed detrimental to the image and promotion of greyhound racing.

 

Mr. St Clair pleaded guilty to the charge.  Stewards accepted the guilty plea and subsequently Mr. St Clair was fined the sum of $500.  Mr. St Clair was advised of his appeal rights.

 

Trainers R. Black and H. Ardle were also warned that their actions were bordering on prejudicial to the image of greyhound racing.
