The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

 

Race 9             HASEGAWA

Race 2             NORTHERN MAGIC           Injured in running, cramping,             10 days

Race 7             NANIERNA                          Injured in running, near hind, 10 days

 

GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 380m

Even start with BON ECHO and CRACKLIN’ ROSIE slow to begin.  ASA TOP AGENT checked off  IN THE DOCK and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to CRACKLIN’ ROSIE who in turn caused some inconvenience to LISTEN CAPTAIN.  LISTEN CAPTAIN raced wide into the front straight causing some inconvenience to BON ECHO.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 380m

KNOCKIN’ BLUE, DAY DRINKING, VELOCITY HEZZA and NORTHERN MAGIC were all slow to begin.  NORTHERN MAGIC lost ground on the turn out of the back straight for no apparent r4eason.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed the dog to have severe cramping.

 

Race 3 – Novice 380m

MISTIFIDE was a late scratching at kenneling on veterinary advice.  VELOCITY AIM was the best to begin.  ZOEY’S FRIEND checked off the heels of REBEL DICTATOR and lost ground in the back straight.  VELOCITGY AIM was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ZOEY’S FRIEND checked off the heels of REBEL DICTATOR prior to turning into the front straight.  ASA ENSEE FLY raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 380m

LONESOME MAX was slow to begin.  BEACH FRONT checked off BALZAREEN and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to LONESOME MAX.  JACOBITE PHANTOM shifted out in the front straight bumping FREDERICK on several occasions resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade 498m

SCORPIO JAY was a late scratching at kenneling on veterinary advice.  The start of the race was delayed 1 minute due to interstate harness racing.  COAL CHEETAH was the best to begin.  COAL CHEETAH and PEPPA PIG CLOUD bumped on the turn into the back straight.  COAL CHEETAH raced wide in the back straight.  TONI’S QUITE checked across the heels of LISTEN on the turn into the front straight.  COAL CHEETAH raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 380m

The start of the raced was delayed 1 minute due to interstate harness racing.

 

Even start with CRUSHED ICE and ELITE ROBBO slow to begin.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 380m

Even start.  DEBORAH ROSE checked off the heels of BOOTYDO and lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight.  BOOTYDO was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  GUNNADOO SECRET shifted out on the turn into the front straight bumping DEBORAH ROSE causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground.

 

NANIERNA was inspected by the veterinarian after the race who reported a near hind muscle injury.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 380m

GUNNADOO DELTA was a last scratched at kenneling on veterinary advice.

 

Even start with ALL BUT CENTRE slow to begin.  EUNICE LILLIAN raced wide into and down the home straight.  RAZOR ROSE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 380m

RHONDA’S TEARS was the best to begin.  HASEGAWA, AMY’S ELITE and BELIMBA HUSTLER were marginally slow to begin.  RHONDA’S TEARS checked off VELOCITY ONO and lost ground in the back straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 380m

Even start.  RHONDA JOAN and HANK SNOW bumped in the back straight resulting in RHONDA JOAN losing ground.

 

Race 11 – 5th Grade 380m

VELOCITY KYZON was a late scratching at kenneling on veterinary advice.

 

WIND TRACKER was the best to begin.  BLACK DENIM and WIND TRACKER raced wide in the home straight.
