Race 1: ARTESIAN HOTEL CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1000 metres
PIPPA’S CALL, ELLE STYLE and NO INVOLVEMENT were late scratchings at 12pm as there were no jockeys available.
SISTER WHISKEY – Knuckled and slipped at the start making contact with PINTERRA.
KENTUCKY BOMBER – Didn’t handle the dusty track conditions.
LOOKSLIKERAIN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
GOT THE RHYTHM – Bled both nostrils. Trainer D. Rewald was advised the gelding would be barred from racing for 3 months and must gallop over 1000m in front of Stewards prior to its next race start.
Race 2: G & M PEOPLES CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres
DOMINANT PLAY was a late scratching at 12pm as there was no jockey availavle.
KEV’S DESTINY – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
STANDOVER – Jumped inwards hampering GAMBACCINI at the start of the race.
AGENT OF MERCY – Stewards accepted the explanation and permitted jockey G. Steele to ride 2kg overweight.
Race 3: KIAMA PASTORAL OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres
JOE BLOW and KANSKJE were both late scratching at 2:00pm as there were no jockeys available.
SECRETS – Was slow away.
CRYSTAL MATES – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the event.
Race 4: D. GRAYS GRADER & LOADER HIRE BM 55 HANDICAP - 1300 metres
STREAMS OF WHISKEY was a late sctatching at 2:00pm as there was no jockey available.
DIAMONEEZE – travelled wide for the entire event.
TENMOREGRAND – Jumped away awkwardly.
Race 5: CAPRICORN PLUMBING & BUILDING SUPPLIES CLASS 3 PLATE - 1600 metres
SKY DISK – Was slow into stride.
NO INVOLVEMENT – Over raced in the early stages of the event.
BUTCHER BOY – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the event.
SCHWEIZ – Was eased at the 250m and took no further competitive part in the race. A post race veterinary inspection found the horse to be extremely lame and trainer C. Prow a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the gelding’s next start.
