GENERAL
Due to no riders available the following runners were scratched at 8am, BRAIDWOOD QUEEN (race 2), HEART OF PLATINUM (race 2) and DUKE OF LANCASTER (race 5).
 
RACE 1: ELVERY's ELECTRICAL RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 Handicap 850 METRES
GOLD REVOLUTION – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Shifted in soon after the start and briefly tightened BRAIDWOOD PRINCE.
 
AMPHAWA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey C Meehan was reminded of his obligations to ensure that he rides his mounts out fully to the finish.
 
BRAIDWOOD PRINCE – Began awkwardly. Steadied briefly from the heels of GOLD REVOLUTION soon after the start.
 
EMBEZZELS – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DAINTREE DREAMING – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 2: SPORTSBET RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1090 METRES
PEE DEE – Apprentice S Wilcock was reminded of her obligation to ensure that she rides her mounts out fully to the finish.
 
GOTTA HERO – Began awkwardly. Apprentice T Orr advised that he felt the gelding failed to handle the softer track conditions today. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
 
CAPIANA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
NINE CIGARS – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having attained the age of 12 years and was cleared to start. Shifted ground outwards rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight inconveniencing RESOLUTE LADY.
 
RESOLUTE LADY – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Tightened for racing room in the early part of the home straight when NINE CIGARS (app G Semmens) shifted out and ROCK DREAMER (NZ) (M Taylor) shifted inwards. Jockeys Semmens and Taylor were both advised to ensure they take greater care in similar circumstances to prevent their mounts shifting ground.
 
THE FRUITOLOGIST – Began awkwardly.
 
ROCK DREAMER (NZ) – Hung out rounding the home turn before shifting inwards entering the home straight and inconvenienced RESOLUTE LADY.
 
RACE 3: MASTER CABINETS OPEN Handicap 1090 METRES
HOLIDAY DREAMS – Raced wide throughout.
 
CORCKSCREW (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Laid in soon after the start and had to be restrained from heels.
 
FROSTY BEAR – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Jockey M Taylor advised that after the tardy start FROSTY BEAR failed to muster speed and was only able to improve into the race over the latter stages. Jockey M Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 9 occasions prior to the 100m and 13 times in total. The license to ride in races of Ms Taylor was suspended for 7 days to commence midnight tonight and conclude midnight Saturday 12 September 2026.
 
HEAT – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
CITY CHICK – Began awkwardly.
 
MAMARAGAN – Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 4: BOOK FOR XXXX CHRISTMAS PARTY RACES 1212 METRES
ALVITAR – Bumped by NOT HAPPENING at the start. Shifted outwards in the early part of the home straight and bumped NOT HAPPENING.
 
NOT HAPPENING – Began very awkwardly, shifted outwards and bumped ALVITAR at the start. Bumped by ALVITAR in the early part of the home straight when that runner shifted outwards.
 
RACE 5: JRZ BUILT QTIS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1380 METRES
 RAPID DUDE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DEVIL RIDER – Began awkwardly.
 
DWAYNE – Jockey G Semmens advised that after the disappointing performance today, it is intended that the gelding be spelled.
 
MR DEMOCRAT – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
STROMBOLI DELIGHT – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DAUNTING INSTINCT – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey S Wilcock, upon return to scaled reported that her mount may have made some unusual respiratory noises in run. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
