Jockey D. Green was charged under AR175(q) in that he did misconduct himself prior to the running of Race 2 by striking Prince Integrity in the vicinity of its head firstly with his hand and then with his whip. D. Green was fined $400.
Race 1: Beaudesert Soft Drinks Maiden Handicap – 1050m
BOX ON – Steadied near the 950m. Jockey B. Stewart, rider of IPPY GIRL, was reprimanded for shifting ground at this stage when not fully clear. Hung out near the 600m and was awkwardly placed at heels.
PURRFECT TYCOON – Began awkwardly.
MAID OF MOURNE – Began awkwardly.
RED CABOOSE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Improved onto heels near the 900m.
THE DARK PASSENGER – Steadied near the 950m when overracing.
THE DARK PASSENGER – Rider M. McGuren reported he dropped his whip near the 200m.
CASTA LA CAT – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
Race 2: Beaudesert Easter Monday Races Maiden Handicap- 1050m
TEST CARD – When being loaded the horse escaped from its handler and was subsequently recaptured by the Clerk of the Course, brought back to the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination and declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 11.59 am with the following deductions applicable.

Trainer N. Hilton was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the horse prior to its next race start.
HENNRAY – Underwent a veterinary examination prior to the race and cleared to start. Rider reported it raced ungenerously throughout and near the 300m hung out, bumping another runner and became unbalanced. Proved difficult to ride out in the home straight. Connections were advised that the horse must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start. Trainer J. Morrisey indicated the gelding would be retired.
KING’S MEMORY – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground, then ridden forward and raced wide throughout.
LAND OFFICE – Slow to begin. Inclined to lay out near the 100m and as a result became awkward at heels. Tightened for room near the 300m between Shaft Of Magic and Fast Decision, which shifted in and away from Cinnabolda. Steadied from the heels of Hennray near the 200m.
FIBRO – Clipped heels and blundered shortly after the start, and then passing the 800m commenced to overrace and continued to do so for some distance. Steadied near the 600m when racing in restricted room between runners.

SHAFT OF MAGIC – Bumped and became unbalanced for a short distance near the 300m.
Race 3: Magic Millions March Yearling Sale Maiden Handicap – 1400m
On return to scale a protest was lodged by F. Jervis, rider of the 4th placegetter, against Pop Bubble Pop being declared 3rd, alleging interference over the final stages. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing stewards patrol video, it was established Pop Bubble Pop did shift in under pressure causing interference to Bank Job over the concluding stages, however given the proximity of the incident to the finishing post and the 1½ length between the horses concerned, stewards could not be satisfied that a reversal of placings was warranted and correct weight was semaphored on the Judge’s placings.
DUKE OF KINGSFORD – Slow to begin.
RED’S THE GO – Commenced to overrace near the 1200m and continued to do so for the majority of the race and had to be steadied from heels.
SIPPIN’ SAPPHIRE – Inconvenienced at the 200m when Red’s The Go shifted out to obtain clear running.
POP BUBBLE – Apprentice M. McGillivray pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that over the concluding stages he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting in, resulting in Bank Job being tightened for room and having to be checked. M. McGillivray was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 6 meetings, to commence at midnight, 11 March and to expire at midnight, 19 March.
ROCKWATER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
MORINGA’S DOLLY - Raced 3 wide for the majority of the race.
ALL ON OUR OWN – Stewards afforded apprentice B.Grylls the opportunity to comment on the performance of the horse. She stated that the gelding began fairly, however failed to muster any early speed and subsequently raced towards the rear of the field
Race 4: Barrier Reef Pools Class 4 Handicap – 1400m
WIND DANCER – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
ALLHAPPENINGAGAIN – Checked near 300m when tightened for room between Etrangere and Head Dragon. Jockey B. El-Issa, rider of Head Dragon, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that near the 300m he permitted his mount to shift in, resulting in All Happeningagain being tightened for room and rider T. Harrison having to take hold and lose her rightful running. B. El-issa was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 8 meetings, to commence midnight, 25 March, the expiration of a previously incurred suspension from Ipswich on 4 March, and conclude at midnight, 5 April.
HEAD DRAGON – Inclined to lay in leaving the 200m. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate.
Race 5: QQS Investment Group Class 1 Handicap – 1050m
SCENIC ROAD – Slow to begin.
MIGHTY SEQUALO – Tightened for room shortly after the start.
POCILLO – Improved onto heels near the 200m and shifted out abruptly.
TWO WAY STREET – Had some difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn and then was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 6: Railway Hotel ratings Band 0-65 Handicap – 1400m
EARNEST DESIRE – Slow to begin.
EASY LAGER – Began awkwardly when the barrier partition bounced back, making contact with the gelding. Inconvenienced when placed in restricted room near the 250m.
PHOENIX FORCE – Bumped and became awkward near the 700m.
LADY GUEVARA – Steadied after improving onto the heels of the weakening Phoenix Force near the 250m.
CHILLI BEACH – Inconvenienced when placed in restricted room near the 250m.
ZOUAVES – As Rider A. Spinks was to be delayed due to transport difficulties, T. Harrison was the replacement rider for this horse. Hung in throughout and bumped another runner near the 700m, and proved difficulty to ride. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer G. Burns was be advised that the horse must compete satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to its next race start.
Race 7: Beaudesert Anzac Day Races Class 2 Handicap – 1200m
SIMPLY CHANEL – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
SCOTCHMAN – Bumped on jumping away. Raced wide for the majority of the race.A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse had bled during the race. Connections were advised that as this was the second time the horse has bled, Scotchman will incur a life time bar from racing.
GLITTER FACE – Bumped on jumping away.
SWEET AND SAVAGE – Improved onto heels and shifted wider near the 700m, forcing Glitter Face wider.
ROCKING EMPIRE – Jockey J. Morris advised he anticipated being further forward today however after blundering on jumping away he was obliged to race further back in the field. Rider J. Morris was of the view that his mount did not appreciate today’s firm track. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be sore over the rump and also short striding in front. Connections will be advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided for the gelding prior to its next race start.
Race 8: Trade Alliance QTIS 3yo Handicap – 1100m
As L. Cassidy was to be overweight, A. Allen was substituted as the rider of Vo Treasure. L. Cassidy was fined $100.
As L. Rolls was to be overweight, J. Morris was substituted as the rider of Excelartie. L. Rolls was fined $100.
HI IM BACK – Began awkwardly after being fractious in the barriers.
HEART OF THUNDER – Steadied at the start. A post race veterinary examination revealed it had lost its near hind plate and had been galloped on on that leg.
VO TREASURE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
EXCELARTIE – Checked at the start.
DESPINA – Began awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with another runner. Bucked shortly after the start. Connections were advised that a barrier certificate must be obtained prior to its next race start.
BRAVE DAZZLER – Steadied from heels when overracing near the 1000m. Bumped over the concluding stages.
FALZINI – Bumped over the concluding stages.
HAKKASAN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
Race 9: Paul Bolack Memorial Benchmark 75 Handicap – 1050m
Trainer B. Currie was fined $100 for failing to produce the registration papers for Four Iron.
BAM’S BOY – Began awkwardly and shifted in and bumped another runner.
TORERO – Bumped at the start.
EMBRAER – Bumped at the start.
MISHANI GLADIATOR – Bumped at start.
VO HEART – Held up rounding the home turn.
FOUR IRON – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
Race 10: Beaudesert Times Class 2 Handicap – 1200m
MYBELOVED – Began awkwardly and lost considerable ground.
TRAVEL IN STYLE – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Shifted out abruptly to avoid heels when the pace steadied near the 200m.
IGNEOUS – Jockey B. El-Issa was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in when not fully clear, resulting in Tangent having to be eased near the 700m.
TANGENT – Eased near the 700m.
MOUNT PERRY – Shifted out across the heels of Tangent and had to be severely checked by its rider near the 300m, resulting in Destiny’s Lass, which was following, shifting out abruptly, causing interference to Amata and Jerrocity. At a subsequent inquiry, stewards could not apportion blame to any one rider and therefore no action was taken.
JERROCITY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
