Race 1: BLACKALL-TAMBO REGIONAL COUNCIL MAIDEN PLATE 2-Y-O & Up 1200 Metres
CIRCUS MAXIMUS – Held up for clear racing room approaching the home turn.
NYTHE – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result.
ACRES DESTINY – Raced wide throughout. Tailed off over the final 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. A warning has been placed against the record of the mare for a poor performance.
BELLA RUSSIAN – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages.
CAIRO QUEEN – M Gray was the approved late rider replacement due to declared rider R Faehr being unable to make the allocated weight. R Faehr was subsequently fined $100 under AR190(3) for accepting a ride and being unable to make the weight. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
CORONATION DAY – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
FYANSFORD FLYER – Raced wide throughout.
JUST A COSMIC GIRL – Began awkwardly.
Race 2: CHOYCE'S LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT CLASS 5 PLATE 3-Y-O & Up 1200 Metres
COLD ONE – Inclined to lay in during the early stages.
HEAVENLY LEGEND – Raced wide in the early stages before obtaining the lead nearing the 850m.
LITTLE COINTREAU (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
SCHMOOZER – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
POCKET PICKER – Over raced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout.
INQUISITIVE LEGEND – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed superficial wounds to the right hind leg consistent with being galloped on from behind.
BOSS BANDIT – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Over raced in the middle stages. Near the 550m when over racing clipped the heels of INQUISITIVE LEGAND and blundered.
Race 3: WARREGO SIGNS OPEN HANDICAP 1400 Metres
TESTATOR SILENS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
HURTLE – Began awkwardly. Restrained to the rear in the early stages from the wide barrier draw.
DECIDUOUS – Began awkwardly.
HEYINGTON STATION – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
INVINCIBLE RED – Knuckled at the start. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
ACEDROD – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
MOORABINDA MICK – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the middle stages.
VOLDEMORT – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride as a result. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
Race 4: OMA CONTRACTING QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1050 Metres
SOLAR SURFER – Raced wide throughout. Hung in under pressure in the home straight and carried GALATH (NZ) inwards leaving the 150M.
BOULEVARD BOY – Began awkwardly. Near the 100m improved towards the heels of CLAW MACHINE when that runner was shifted wider and then hung in when being moved wider on the track. Immediately thereafter when being corrected by rider W Satherley, shifted outwards and tightened GALATH (NZ) which had been carried inwards by both SOLAR SURFER and MAYBE which were hanging in under pressure. As a consequence of the movement of multiple runners, GALATH (NZ) was tightened and checked. Stewards could not fully attribute the blame of the incident to rider W Satherley, however were satisfied that his level of culpability warranted a reprimand under AR131(a).
CLAW MACHINE – Blundered at the start. Leaving the 150m, became awkwardly placed at the heels of FLASHMASTER, which shifted out and had to switch wider to obtain clear racing room. Jockey S Robbins (FLASHMASTER) was reprimanded for carelessly permitting her mount to shift ground when under pressure.
DAY TO REMEMBER – Bumped soon after the start with OAKFIELD MONTANA.
FLASHMASTER – Began awkwardly. Shifted ground outwards in the home straight when under pressure.
GALATH (NZ) – Bumped with VIKING TREASURE at the start. Tightened and checked leaving the 100m when SOLAR SURFER shifted inwards and BOULEVARD BOY shifted out.
MAYBE – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and carried SOLAR SURFER inwards leaving the 150m.
TELL US TOLL – Began awkwardly.
VIKING TREASURE – Began awkwardly and bumped with DAY TO REMEMBER soon after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 5: CAROLAN'S PAINTING SERVICES BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1050 Metres
DAIMYO (JPN) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
YUKAN ROSE – Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
TRANSCELTIC – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Dipped near the 800m. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
TURNSTAR – Began awkwardly.
TOKYO SINS – Began awkwardly and bumped with RUBUNKAR.
HIGHGROUND – Began awkwardly.
RUBUNKAR – Began awkwardly and bumped with TOKYO SINS.
FLYING RUPERT – Raced wide throughout.
ARDEN GREEN – Declared a late scratching at 10.33am when trainer R Simpson advised the gelding refused to load to be transported to the meeting.
ZOUCHASE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 6: HALLAM PLUMBING SERVICES BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 Metres
CROWN REACH – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
PERDITION – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
PINS AND NEEDLES – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 1100m when racing awkwardly at the heels of TOY STORY which was inclined to lay inwards.
TOY STORY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after harmlessly dislodging jockey D Evans when leaving the mounting yard and cantering some distance before being recaptured and was cleared to start. A warning has been placed against the horses pre-race manners. Inclined to lay in approaching and leaving the 1100m briefly tightening PINS AND NEEDLES.
FINAL MISSION – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
HOWLER – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin.
WINDORAH – Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
FOR THE BRAVE – Began awkwardly.
BLUE ROMAN – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages. Shifted inwards under pressure and contacted the inside running rail of its own accord in the early part of the home straight.
Race 7: SCOBIE SADDLERY BENCHMARK 1400 Metres
DESERT STAR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages.
FINAL COMMENT – Began awkwardly. Hung in under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide throughout.
EASTCOAST HUSSLER – Began awkwardly and bumped with WAYFARER’S WAY.
SHEZ LETHAL – Began awkwardly and bumped with MONDAY CHOICE.
THE TERMINATOR – Began awkwardly and bumped with MONDAY CHOICE before being hampered between that runner and DIVINE COURAGE.
WAYFARER'S WAY – Began awkwardly and bumped with EASTCOAST HUSSLER. Over raced in the early stages.
MONDAY CHOICE – Began awkwardly and jumped outwards bumping SHEZ LETHAL before shifting in and bumping with THE TERMINATOR. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
VALUBIOUS – Began awkwardly.
ZOULY – Began awkwardly. Passing the 100m placed in restricted room, momentarily steadied and disappointed for a run between DESERT STAR and DIVINE COURAGE, which laid in under pressure.
