Race 1: Bowen Home Hardware Class B Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – LA DIOSA 2nd – COBUNGRA BOY 3rd – RAPIDSET 4th – WHO’S YOUR CADDY

KAP IT OFF – Was fractious in the barriers.

WHO’S YOUR CADDY – Raced ungenerously in the early stages.

MISHANI REDMAN - Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.

MISS MYSTIFIED – Was caught wide without cover for the majority.

Jockey J Long pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR137A in that he used the whip on DUNNY’S STAR on 7 occasions (several consecutive) prior to the 100 metres, twice more than permitted under the rule. Stewards suspended Jockey Long’s licence to ride in races for a period of 8 days to commence on Sunday August 7th, 2016 and to expire at midnight on Sunday August 14th, 2016.

Race 2: Bowen Tyre & Mechanical Benchmark 60 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – GOLD RUST 2nd – WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR 3rd – MOUNTAIN LANE 4th – MONDUKE

CRAIGLEA THUNDER – Was fractious in the barriers. Lost significant ground at the start after making heavy contact with another runner which shifted out abruptly on jumping.

MONDUKE – Shifted out abruptly on jumping making heavy contact with another runner.

WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Was caught wide without cover for the majority.

BACKTOSPEC - Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 3: Industry Fire Services Maiden Plate 1100 metres:
1st – SCHREIBER 2nd – GENERAL BEERS 3rd – GABONIA 4th – BONNE SANTE

GENERAL BEERS – Lost significant ground at the start after rearing as the barriers opened. Trainer Mr. J Campaeo was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.

SCHREIBER – Was fractious in the barriers. Raced wide without cover throughout.

MAGIC WELL – Jumped out at the start.

BOLT ON BY – Jumped in at the start.



Race 4: Queens Beach Hotel Benchmark 50 Handicap 1280 metres:
1st – SUNNY CHIEF 2nd – CORNISH TALES 3rd – GOLD CLAIM 4th – UNDIAMO

MARIO – Was slowly into stride.

CASHED UP BULLY - Was slowly into stride.

BONNIE BON BON - Was slowly into stride. Was caught wide without cover early.

CORNIH TALES – Laid in under pressure down the running.

Race 5: Burdekin Veterinary Services Ben Bolt Cup Benchmark 55 Handicap 1470 metres:
1st – MONTANA MAN 2nd – FORTUNE MASCOT 3rd – BEG PARDON 4th – SILVER BOWS

WANTABETHEONE – Was slowly away after being fractious in the barriers.

ISLAND BAR – Was slowly away.

SILVER BOWS – Was slowly into stride.

BEG PARDON – Raced ungenerously for a short distance after shifting out abruptly of its own accord near the 1200 metres.
