Stewards permitted the following overweight:
Race 4. Adam Sewell (RED HOT LIZZIE) +0.5kg
 
Race 1: PILCHER’S CONCRETE Maiden Plate 1200M
 
ELEGANT VENUS - Shifted out on jumping and bumped with LIVELY SPIRIT, then bumped by SAINT ANNS shortly after. Laid in through the early part of the home straight.
 
SAINT ANNS – Shifted in abruptly on jumping bumping ELEGANT VENUS.
 
SHE’SANAIS – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping with FROSTY QUEEN. Eased down passing the 400 metres and was not persevered with thereafter, finishing distanced form the field. When questioned, rider Aidan Holt stated the mare had hung out throughout proving difficult to ride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer Lachlan Manzelmann was advised given today’s performance, coupled with the previous form of SHE’SANAIS this preparation where it has proved uncompetitive, the mare would now be restricted to Non-TAB meetings until it demonstrates improved form.
 
SOUND THE BUGLE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FROSTY QUEEN – Bumped with SHE’SANAIS on jumping.
 
LIVELY SPIRIT – Shifted out on jumping and bumped with ELEGANT VENUS. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
 
RACE 2: WHITSUNDAY SPORTSPARK BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1000M
 
LADY MASQUERADE – Contacted on jumping.
 
BETA BETTER – Jumped in at the start contacting the hind quarters of LADY MASQUERADE becoming unbalanced in consequence.
 
EXCELBOOM – Laid out under pressure throughout the home straight and near the 150 metres ran out losing some momentum.
 
REMEMBER ROY – Began awkwardly. Inclined to over-race in the lead throughout.
 
WHATTA WHITT – Laid in under pressure in the final straight.
 
CHALKLEY – Began awkwardly.
 
 
RACE 3: BIH BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1280M
 
WICKED GAMES – Raced three-wide with cover throughout.
 
GIGI FILLE – Laid in over the final 250 metres.
 
SILENT ANGEL – Raced three-wide without cover throughout.
 
STARMEIRA – Over-raced through the early and middle stages.
 
 
RACE 4: BROUCEK HEAVY DIESEL 2026 BATTLE OF THE BUSH BOWEN QUALIFIER OPEN Plate 1200M
 
BOOMING LAD – Laid in through the early part of the home straight and had to be straightened.
 
REAL KEY – Threw its head in the air shortly after leaving the barriers.
 
SUNNYCOAST – Rider Raul Silvera Olivera was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground after inconveniencing YOUR TOO GOOD when crossing shortly after leaving the barriers.
 
UNDER THE LIMIT – Bounded in the air on jumping.
 
YOUR TOO GOOD – Dipped on jumping and began awkwardly, then inconvenienced shortly after leaving the barriers when SUNNYCOAST shifted in. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
RED HOT LIZZIE – Slow to begin.
 
 
RACE 5: FILBY’S MOTORS WHITSUNDAY CUP QTIS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1470M
 
MISSION HOUSE – Raced wide rounding the first turn before being taken forward to lead. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
RASHFORD – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
BRASCO – Over-raced in the middle stages.
