GENERAL
As saddlecloth numbers 3 and 4 were unavailable for today’s meeting, the saddlecloth replacement numbers used were 16 and 17 respectively for today’s program.
Trainer R. Macrae was fined the sum of $100 for the late rider declarations of Not Close and Todline. Rider changes were made as per the stewards’ race day summary.
RACE 1: CHINCHILLA REAL ESTATE CLASS B HCP – 1200M
MYSTERY ANGEL – Began awkwardly.
CHILLDOWN – Was slow to begin. Made the home turn very wide.
NADA TO PRADA – Laid out rounding the first turn. Apprentice J. Philpot was reprimanded for failing to weigh in for 4th place.
FLAMINGO ROSE – Eased off the heels of another runner near the 700m.
PRINCE OF PEACE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
RACE 2: IAN ALEXANDER BP MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
HAYIL MATADOR – Was kicked by another runner whilst parading, underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to start.
YOUBIDYOUBUY – Was slow to begin.
NAKED BLONDE – Bumped another runner at the start. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
HE’S DIFFERNET – Bumped by another runner at the start. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
SUMMER JEWEL – Shifted out and made contact with another runner shortly after the start.
ALLEZ CHARLIE – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
RACEY LYAN – Eased off the heels of DEAR MARY, which shifted in near the 700m when not completely clear. Apprentice Q. Krogh, the rider of Dear Mary, was reprimanded at a subsequent enquiry.
RACE 3: CLUB HOTEL AND CENTRAL MOTOR INN BMK 60 HCP – 1030M
BIMBIARRA – Fractious in the barriers. Began awkwardly and lost significant ground. Apprentice P. Bradford, the rider of Bimbiarra, was reminded of his obligation to continue to ride his mount out over the concluding stages.
TODLINE – Bumped by another runner at the start. Rider reported at scale that the gelding had a tendency to hang out throughout the event.
PEARLS DESTINY – Bumped another runner at the start. Made the home turn very wide.
FALVESA – Rider reported at scale that the mare resented the kick back.
RACE 4: VICTOR BLACK MEMORIAL BMK 70 HCP – 1030M
SARSGHI – Laid out rounding the home turn and commenced to lay in over the final 100m of the event. Apprentice Q. Krogh, the rider of Sarsghi, reported at scale that after pressuring his mount in the early stages, the gelding then raced keenly for the remainder of the event.
AMBER ALE – Made the home turn wide.
GAELSTORM – Disappointed for a run rounding the home turn and shifted in to obtain clear running.
RACE 5: LANDMARK BMK 65 HCP – 1400M
CLARENCE VIEW – Began awkwardly. Had to be steadied from the heels of another runner near the 1200m.
MONTANUS – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.
