Race 4 – MR. METRICS (+0.5kg).
Race 1: KENLACH TRANSPORT MAIDEN PLATE 1400M

Extremely Frilly - Stewards considered an objection lodged by rider C Whiteley, the rider of EXTREMELY FRILLY which finished in second place against Jockey B Stowar (SOLAR SERT) being declared the winner on the grounds of interference over the final 400 metres. It was established that SOLAR SERT had hung out at the 200 metres momentarily hampering EXTREMELY FRILLY and Jockey B Stowar was unable to fully test her mount to the finish line consequently. As stewards could not be comfortably satisfied had this interference not occurred that EXTREMELY FRILLY would have finished in front of SOLAR SERT and as such stewards dismissed the objection and declared correct weight on the judge’s semaphored numbers. Stewards noted that SOLAR SERT had drawn clear of EXTREMELY FRILLY again over the final 50 metres.
Smart Colour – Began awkwardly. Raced wide the majority.
Solar Cert - Laid out under pressure from the 400 metres and consequently Jockey B Stowar was unable to use the whip on the filly and had to stop riding and attempt to straighten her mount over the concluding stages.

Jockey C Whiteley was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of FIRE SPHERE in today’s event in comparison to the mare’s previous start at Mackay on the 8th of May 2025 when a winner. Jockey C Whiteley advised that FIRE SPHERE resented the dust kickback and never stretched out at any stage of today’s event. Trainer J Manzelmann advised that he would now restrict FIRE SPHERE to racing on grass tracks in future. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Deep Breath – An enquiry was held into the reason that DEEP BREATH was severely checked at the 1100m when racing on the rails. It was established thatKALASHNIKOV (J Missen) and PREFERRAL NZ (J Barbarovich) had both shifted in after the start crowding DEEP BREATH. Jockeys J Missen and J Barbarovich were both reprimanded for allowing their mounts to shift ground when not clear. AR 131 (a).
