General:

Stewards conducted a track inspection at 7.00am, following advice from club staff that the track had received 45mm of rain overnight. Stewards deemed the track suitable for racing, and downgraded the track rating to a Heavy 10.

A further track inspection was carried out at 10.30am, with Stewards remaining satisfied with the condition of the track.

Following a further 10mm of rain, Stewards conducted another track inspection at 11.30am. At this point it was the opinion of Stewards that the condition of the track had deteriorated at points near the 800m and 600m, and was no longer safe for racing. Consequently the meeting was abandoned at 11.45am.
