Stewards accepted Trainer S. Sixtus reason for the late declaration of rider for MENTALIA in Race 5.
Race 1: BOOK YOUR TICKETS SAINTS DAY 20/09/2025 MAIDEN PLATE 2000m
ORMOND ROAD – Trainer J. Bayliss was reminded of his obligations to inform Stewards when delayed in arriving on course. Trainer J. Bayliss was reprimanded pursuant to AR227(a) in presenting the gelding to the enclosure with the gelding’s pre-race ear muffs under the bridle. Slow to begin.
SAVEA – Began awkwardly.
PREFER TO DANCE (NZ) – Trainer J. Moore was severely reprimanded for the late arrival on course pursuant to LR30(1)(b) and reminded of his obligations to inform Stewards when delayed en route. Raced wide from the 800m. Bumped on entering the home straight.
SHOW 'EM NORM – Slow to begin.
BOLERO – Trainer V. Heading was fined $100 pursuant to AR227(a) for presenting BOLERO to the enclosure without blinkers.
BRAVE HOSHI – Bumped on entering the home straight.
POLLY PRINCESS – Raced wide during the early stages.
Race 2: RUGBY RACEDAY 1/11/2025 QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1100m
The start was momentarily delayed when CLEARLY NOT harmlessly dislodged rider B. Lerena enroute to the barriers and galloped riderless for some distance prior to being captured. CLEARLY NOT was subsequently declared a late scratching at 12.54pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets on CLEARLY NOT be refunded with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers placed prior to 12:54pm:
1st DESTINYS PINNACLE 0c win, 5c place
2nd MISHANI QUEST 3c place
3rd MISHANI PEARL 4c place
Given the circumstances of the matter, no further action was taken against CLEARLY NOT.
CUDDLES FOR KIMMY – Bumped heavily on jumping. Trainer C. Geran reported that the filly is better suited to racing in a more forward position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
SCRIPTUS VIVACE – Near the 1000m, shifted in when not fully clear of MISHANI PEARL, which was obliged to restrain from heels. Apprentice N. Palasthy was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. Laid out near the 200m.
DECEITFUL MISS – Bumped heavily on jumping.
MISHANI QUEST – Bumped heavily on jumping. Laid in under pressure near the 200m.
MISHANI PEARL – Bumped heavily on jumping. Near the 1000m, restrained from heels of SCRIPTUS VIVACE which shifted in when not fully clear. Over-raced for some distance thereafter being obliged to restrain from heels near the 600m. Momentarily awkwardly placed on heels near the 200m. Trainer D. Stanbridge was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.
Race 3: MITTYS RACING COLOURS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m
BUSH WOOKIE – Commenced to race keenly near the 900m when the pace of the race slackened.
BAD BOY BOONE – Commenced to race keenly near the 900m when the pace of the race slackened.
SHINING PROISIR (NZ) – Bumped and lost ground on jumping.
LINTHORPE LUCK – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer K. Kemp reported that he will have his stable veterinarian to examine the gelding in the coming days and will experiment with the application of a tongue tie and blinkers.
PROPONENT –When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance Trainer A. Park outside of the geldings last start its form had been pleasing and with the gelding pleasing in its work as well as being down in grade the stable expected a forward showing having modestly supported the gelding with bookmakers.
ILLEGITIMO – Commenced to race keenly near the 900m when the pace of the race slackened.
MESA VERDE – Bumped on jumping. Commenced to race keenly near the 900m when the pace of the race slackened. Raced keenly on heels near the 600m and had to be steadied.
Race 4: LADBROKES BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000m
BOLD AND SMOOTH – Bumped on jumping. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
CHARMED PASSAGE (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Apprentice L. O’Donnell reported that her mount was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
PALEFACE RINGO – Jockey M. Savva’s license to ride in races was suspended for 8 days pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip 17 times in totality with 10 strikes prior to the 100m, commencing 5th of July 2025 up to and including the 12th of July 2025. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account Ms Savva’s record in relation to the rule, her guilty plea and the QRIC Whip Penalty guidelines.
SEA COMMITS – Momentarily awkwardly placed on heels soon after jumping.
DAWYN'S CHOICE – Bumped on jumping.
MISHANI DEVINE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 5: D&NDJC COMMITTEE RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1200m
CHANGE THE DEEL – Slow to begin. Restrained from heels of PACIFIC PIRATE near the 1000m. Raced keenly on heels near the 500m. Held up in the early stages of the home straight, before shifting in passing the 200m and then crowded for room passing the 100m having to be steadied to avoid improving into a doubtful run to the inside of SAPANA’S PEARL, consequently went to the line without being fully tested.
DECRYPT – Slow to begin. Shifted in near the 1000m tightening PACIFIC PIRATE. Jockey G. Cartwright was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) as a result of this incident.
MENTALIA – Shifted out on entering the home straight obliging EPIC FLASH to steady from heels. Jockey K. Zechner was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. Jockey Zechner was fined $100 pursuant to LR48 for leaving the course without permission from Stewards.
BRAVE COWBOY BILL – Shifted in on jumping.
EPIC FLASH – Obliged to steady from heels entering the home straight.
ESTE DIA – Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
IMPERIONESS – Raced wide throughout.
PACIFIC PIRATE – Tightened for room near the 1000m when DECRYPT shifted in and commenced to over race, having to be restrained.
SAPANA'S PEARL – Shifted in and momentarily crowded CHANGE THE DEEL near 100m before being corrected by its rider. Rider N. Fazackerley was advised to exercise greater care.
Race 6: PSP RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1400m
THE MANIPULATOR – Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly and wide throughout.
HIGH SECURITY – Bumped on entering the home straight.
DARLHISMA – Began awkwardly and bumped JUST WANT YOU BACK.
GLENRAY'S MATE – Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly during the middle stages.
STEP ON FIRE – Bumped on jumping. Bumped by MY TURN ASTERN on entering the home straight.
JUST WANT YOU BACK – Bumped and became awkwardly placed on heels on jumping. Raced keenly during the middle stages.
FENDBAR – Began awkwardly and bumped THE MANIPULATOR. Laid in under pressure in the home straight, shifted in abruptly near the 150m, hampering GREAT ANGLES.
MY TURN ASTERN – Commenced to over race near the 900m. On entering the home straight, shifted out marginally bumping REACHOVER, became crowded having to be steadied from heels before shifting in and bumping STEP ON FIRE. Rider B. Newport was advised to exercise greater care.
GREAT ANGLES – Hampered near the 150m.
REACHOVER – Raced keenly during the middle stages. Bumped when racing tight between runners on entering the home straight.
Race 7: CRITERION HOTEL DALBY RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1400m
MISTER SELFIE – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
BRINGME – Raced wide throughout.
BOOM BY BY – Slow to begin.
DOITLIKEMAXWELL – Inclined to over race throughout.
SHALMUM – Hampered on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
CRYPT DE PIN – Bumped near the 500m, shifted in and brushed the running rail. Shifted out abruptly leaving the 200m hampering SUPER FAIR. Apprentice O. Webb was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident.
SUENITO – Slow to begin and bumped shortly after. Raced wide throughout.
MARTINI DANCER – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
SUPER FAIR – Bumped near the 500m. Became awkward on heels leaving the 200m when CRYPT DE PIN shifted out abruptly.
Race 8: BOOK THE MARQUEE/DECK FOR YOUR PARTY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1400m
MAURICE'S MEDAD – Momentarily awkward on heels on jumping and had to be steadied. Bumped the running rail near the 600m.
MISHANI GANGSTER – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped LONE FORCE. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
MAN IN THE MIRROR – Bumped the running rail near the 600m. Bumped the running rail approaching the 300m.
HOTFOOT PERFORMER – Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
AOLANI – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
LONE FORCE – Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly during the early stages. Raced wide from the 800m.
SON OF SAMPSON – Raced wide from the 800m.
BELLA BABE – On return to scale the mare was found to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer P. Kalinowski was advised on the provisions of AR79(4).
QUEST OF QUESTS – Began awkwardly. Bumped the running rail near the 600m.
