Race 1: Coca-Cola Amatil QTIS 2yo H'cap - 1200m
MAGIC SQUARE – Examined by the veterinary surgeon at the barriers after being restless in the tie-up stalls and cleared to start. Steadied to avoid the heels of Magic Square, which shifted in near the 200m. Apprentice S. Fawke was severely reprimanded.
ONE STANDOUT – Began awkwardly. Rider reported at scale that soon after the start his mount attempted to buck for a short distance. A post race veterinary examination revealed it had dislodged some teeth and had blood in its mouth.
MONACO PLAYBOY – Slow to begin.
RETURN TO GLORY – Made the home turn awkwardly.
MISHANI HONCHO – Shifted out on the home turn and made contact with another runner. Rider reported at scale he was prevented from shifting further on his mount rounding the home turn due to another runner racing to his outside.
MONACO PLAYBOY – Bumped on the home turn.
Race 2: Jim Beam H'cap – 1600m
STEEL ZIP – Slow to begin. Forced wider after leaving the 800m
GOLDSLICK – Slow to begin. After being forced wider passing the 1000m, was allowed to stride forward and race outside the leader. Shifted out and made contact with another runner in the early stages of the home straight. Crowded for some distance between the 300m and 200m.
SOROS – Slow to begin. Forced wider after leaving the 800m.
LORD PYRUS – Overraced in the middle stages due to the slow pace.
HARADA BAY - Overraced in the middle stages due to the slow pace. Pulled hard onto the heels of another runner after passing the 800m and shifted out.
ALLKNIGHT SAINT – Became unbalanced when bumped by another runner shortly after entering the home straight. Hung in from the 300m to the 200m. Slightly crowded near the 200m by Bodega Negra. G. Colless was severely reprimanded.
BODEGA NEGRA – Shifted in slightly near the 200m causing crowding to another runner. Rider G. Colless was reprimanded.
KISS ME DEADLY – Trainer M. Kropp advised the soft lead the gelding obtained was a factor in the improved performance. He also added that the gelding has had a history of hoof problems and believed that this condition had improved recently.
Race 3: Mount Franklin 1MW H'cap - 1600m
COSMONAUT – Connections advised that the horse would be ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit. Raced accordingly.
LENTINI MIST – Stood awkwardly in the stalls and missed the start, and then further inconvenienced shortly after the start.
THAT’LLBGOOD – Inconvenienced at the start.
CABALLO RAPIDO – Inconvenienced at the start. Raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 4: Canagian Club QTIS 3yo H'cap – 1350m
DRAMATIC SAGA – Became fractious after being loaded into the barriers resulting in its rider being struck in the face. As J. Taylor was unable to fulfil his engagement, the filly was declared a late scratching at 2.47 pm.
Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on Dramatic Saga were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.

Trainer G. Hall advised he would trial the horse before its next start.
BUKEKAYO – Checked near 1200m between Rocklord and Heart Of Thunder, both of which shifted ground. No action was taken.
POLYNIKES – Steadied to avoid the heels of Heart Of Gold which shifted in near the 900m. Apprentice S. Fawke was reprimanded.
MAX IT OUT – Got its head up making the first turn when being restrained from heels.
WHATALOVELYDAY – Carried wider from the 600m. Checked near 200m when disappointed for a run when Max It Out shifted in. T.Harrison, rider of Max It Out, was reprimanded.
RED CLAW – Shifted in and bumped another runner near the 200m.
MAX IT OUT – Inconvenienced near the 200m.
PUNTA NORTE – Rider D. Griffin stated that after being ridden forward from the wide barrier the colt commenced to overrace in the lead, which resulted in him weakening badly over the final 250m. He added that after being first up over 1350m with blinkers on were a major contributor to the colt racing so poorly. Trainer R. Heathcote agreed with D. Griffin’s assessment, adding he would experiment with the removal of blinkers for its next race start. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormality.
Race 5: Power Ade Benchmark 75 H'cap – 2200m
BILLABONG BIRD – Dislodged its rider en route to the barriers and galloped for some distance. The horse was subsequently declared a late scratching 3.22 pm with the following deductions applicable.

SOMERSET LASS – Slow to begin.
PUTAPAVONIT – Slow to begin.
WISHMORE – When caught wide early without cover was allowed to stride forward by its rider in the back straight.
HIGHLY GENTLE – Steadied near the 200m when crowded by Vodnik. Rider S. Galloway was reprimanded.
LEGSMAN – Raced 3 wide without cover.
Race 6: Makers Mark Class 6 H'cap – 1350m
FRIENDLY DRAGON – Obliged to race 3 wide from the 800m.
Race 7: Coke Zero Open H'cap - 1050m
BARACHELLO – Slow to begin.
WHITTINGTON – Inconvenienced and carried wider near the 600m. Raced wide without cover throughout.
PLATEAU GOLD - Inconvenienced and carried wider near the 600m. Raced wide without cover throughout.
STRATURBO – Checked near 600m when Just A Girl shifted out whilst pulling hard. Rider reported that after being checked near the 600 her mount lost momentum and finished the race off only fairly when placed under pressure in the straight.
MR FAVULOUS – Inconvenienced leaving the 300m.
THE CONSPIRATOR –Inconvenienced leaving the 300m.
BARACHELLO – Inconvenienced leaving the 300m.
PRETTYFAMOUS – Shifted out abruptly inside the 300m to obtain clear running, causing interference. Jockey R. Wiggins was reprimanded.
ALL THAT – Hampered near the 100m by Nuclear Class, which shifted in.
Race 8: Kirks Benchmark 85 H'cap - 1200m
GREY COUNTESS – Slow to begin.
CASH ‘N’ STYLE – Began awkwardly. After leaving the 300m was held up until near the 200m, and again over the concluding stages.
VILLAMILL – Raced in restricted room in the early stages.
REAL FAVULOUS – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
IN TOP GEAR – Obliged to steady from heels and became awkward approaching the 600m.
FLAMBOYER – Raced 3 wide without cover.
TOUGH TAIMZ – Raced 3 wide without cover.
BAHSA – Raced 4 wide without cover.
